It's now the end of 2023 and I have a lot to say and I have a lot planned for next year. This year has been so hectic and I feel like I've grown a lot as both as a person and as an artist.
After graduating from university this year I had two options open for me:

1: Was to continue what I was doing last year, which was to make short for animation over and over again. Hopping onto trends and memes to make animations out of and using their popularity to ride my way into becoming a self sustaining animator. With "Minecraft Abs" videos reaching 34 Million views, it was very possible as a life path.
2: Commit to original content and have a solid foundation with original character which I can control and create stories for, rather than capitalizing on existing trends, I would try and build a foundation from the ground up and have a existing original story that I'm recognized for. Risky, prone to failure, and expensive.
I chose option 2 because I wasn't happy with myself if I committed to option 1, and I do not regret it one bit. Finally after months of posting stories online, I think I've found a path that I'm comfortable with and I am happy to commit all my attention to. I am now able to afford both a colorist and a background artist on the side for my work as well.
I couldn't done it without your help :)
Consequences:
Through trying out a lot of new things, I had a lot of pitfalls as well, and lost some time and money. I wanted to clear up if there are any of the posts previously I mentioned on this Patreon I promised but didn't follow up for some reason.
Stickers/ Music artist commissions:
I got ghosted by the manufacturer of my stickers after no contact after a few months. Currently trying to get this project back on track and running.
I also got ghosted by a musician who was originally going to make music for an upcoming animation I was going to make despite an upfront payment. I now consider it a loss, and I don't want to fight them over it. I wish they'll contact me in the future again. But for now I think it's better if I kept looking for an alternative rather than waste more time in forcing someone to make music when the final quality could be half assed as well.
Streaming:
It's a lot of pressure, and I really do have a lot of fun while doing the activity itself. However the anticipation of needing to stream towards an active audience really sucks the joy out of it. I hope I can find a ground where I can be more confident in myself in the future, I really do like interacting with the audience while working on an artwork, and sometimes the audience themselves gives really good suggestions as well. I will revist this in the future I hope, but for now I would like to focus on other things.
I Was Born To Work Retail

Has been picking up speed to the point that it's going to be a weekly comic! Currently in discussions with my publisher to see each episode being made to my quality standards.
As I mentioned before, now I am able to have two more people on board to create the comic as well! I will introduce them in the future when the episodes are up and running.
I Was Born To Work Retail once the series hits a midpoint I will start seriously committing to have it both physically printed and start moving towards animated series production as well. It's all moving so quickly and exciting awa I can't wait!!!

I have a lot to show in the future, what I have planned in store for the comic are multiple arcs with small slice of life comics in between showcasing different characters in the universe! What I have planned is that the story's going to take a really interesting, unconventional direction which is going to be both really wholesome and incredibly miserable at the same time. I hope you guys are looking forwards to more!!
Koishi Project Prospects:

Currently in the process of refining backgrounds for all of S3 and finishing the final half for S3 as well. After all of S3 is done, I will be going back and fixing errors and missing scenes in S1 and S2. Which are corrections done to Koishi's third eye and lighting from the enviroment not matching the animation. Soon I'll have to install After Effects again ( fuck Adobe)
Despite a lot of new work being done on the comic, the Koishi Project is still going steady and I hope I can finish half of the video to show you guys soon! I'll announce when we reach this milestone and ask for more advice for the new setting and direction it takes in the project in the comming months!!

See you all in 2024 everyone
