damned that darn thing still kicks like a mule with all the added weight to it! worser still... that is almost the weight of my 20" 223 schmeisser. how comes the soviets were the only one whom managed to field a LIGHT dmr with the dragunov? could imagine a dmr might even have to move more than the other guys to get a good field of fire. having a heavier gun ain't helps there.

I have a real scope on mine - which just squeezed in front of the charging handle. As I said previously, I also have the same dodgy ammo covered in corrosion - I checked it and mine is from 1993. I also shoot Swiss 7.5 surplus ammo from the early 80's in competition and it's in perfect condition (and extremely accurate for ball ammo). Germans need to learn how to keep their ammo better.
