Let's talk about Deliverance

I think it is as good time as ever to talk a little about our future goal: the glorious city of Deliverance. As some of you already figured out, this place is no utopia, and nobody has any illusions about it. Actually, the more we go, the more people around Blake are going to discuss it, and as you can imagine, most of them think that: a — it is a terrible place to be, and b — they have to get inside somehow. I mean, wouldn't you want to get on the ark, even if it's literally a floating shitter? It's gonna be much worse everywhere else.
Granted, not everyone can get in, and some of my characters have their own plans in relation to Deliverance. Namely Melinda and Tanya. Why Tanya? Well… if I say anything, that's gonna be a huge spoiler. Wait until v0.9 and her further developments. Plenty incoming. Out of our current roster, however, there's already one person who got it: Lucia. Again, she will talk about it later in v0.9, but you won't see until Blake himself gets in Deliverance, and it's… well, it's not going to happen this year. For both him and us. There's too much stuff he has to do in the city. I mean, he's ought to start his careers as a porn actress or a prostitute, isn't he? And this isn't going to happen in v0.9, and maybe not even v0.10 (but we're going to discuss that soon). For as fast as some things happen in Blake's life, these choices are pretty big, and I want him to take his sweet time.
Now, as for how Deliverance is going to look… I don't have nearly enough assets to build the world I envision (by the way, Daz's shop is atrocious. I've never seen a marketplace with such terrible organisation. It's like they don't want me to buy anything), and the ones that I do have often have some weird quirks that I'm gonna need to explain to player once they get there. Like the abundance of Japanese letters, for example. There's still time though, so maybe I'll get something better in the future.
Initially I continued with a huge paragraph of complaints here, but decided to delete all that. No need to bother you with things out of your control. Instead, I'm going to ask you a question. Would you be interested in, say, behind the scenes stuff? I rarely discuss the very process of creating stuff for Shattered, because it's pretty technical, and I don't claim to be an expert on 3d-modelling, of course, but maybe it might be a matter of curiosity for you? I'm not gonna post huge tutorials or anything, just some stuff that might help you if you decide to start learning Daz yourself. What do you say?

( Lol, hold yer horses here ), probably gonna cancel at some point, and then maybe rejoin later on, ( depending on weather I can afford it or not ), but as of right now, I'm glad to give at least something back. and this game certainly deserves it, :), ( you just continue doing a great job..........at your own pace of course, ( no need to rush things ). .........Although, the question DOES come up as to weather we'll see an update/new content, either this year or next year, so I have to ask nonetheless, will it be this year, ( or what's left of this year ), or most likely next year?

2020-07-19 19:14:28 +0000 UTCSome other people supported the idea as well. I don't claim to be an expert in Daz, but I can explain some basic things that might help you started. I can even share some of my models if it's interesting (but not Blake, he's too precious for me).

2020-07-19 19:14:02 +0000 UTCNo no no, this game has to continue being developed, ( and I rarely say that when it comes to games in general ), and honestly, I thought I would hate the game, but, I've experienced quite the opposite, mainly due to the story alone, ( and that is something I rarely praise as well, just because of the lack of good games with an equal good story, no matter what genre ), and as of late, there haven't been many games I find worth my time, not to mention tears me up, and this game's story, did just that, ( or I might just be too sentimental ). .........But all joking aside, the story did just that, so ty.

2020-07-19 08:07:30 +0000 UTCI'd love some of that behind the scenes stuff, but I'm sure others are just here for Shattered. I'd love some tips with Daz because, as I told you before, I suck with it and have little patience for some of the more complicated stuff.
