Let’s talk about Bree
Added 2020-06-13 20:25:01 +0000 UTCGood news. I’m getting my monitor in a couple of hours, so I’ll be able to resume work tomorrow. Phew. Not much time lost, and no scenes are about to get cut. What a relief.
So, let’s talk about Bree for a second. I’ll rant a little about the dynamic of her route, and overall character progression, and you’re gonna help me with a couple of moments that I’m not sure how to solve yet. Let’s go.
As we all know, Bree is a damaged person with daddy issues so huge you can fit pretty much every other female character in the game in it. Her trauma is deep and persistent, and her self-awareness only makes things worse, constantly making her push other people to the limits, just because she has trouble connecting with them emotionally. Now, for Blake that means pretty much one thing: in their relationship she’s gonna be the big daddy, and he’ll be the little girl. And that’s where our first problem lies. You can start her route regardless of your dominance (which, I suppose, isn’t something that comes into play that often, but still isn’t completely worthless), but this model of relationship automatically assumes that Blake is as submissive as you can get. I guess the only way out is to make him tell Bree that he won’t have sex with her with these conditions, and they split up. But. There could be another way. Let’s say Blake decides to play the role of her therapist. And instead of fucking himself with a dildo for her amusement, he has long-long talks with her, trying to reach for the core of her problem. Would you be interested in a non-sexual route with her, dear domme-Blake players? Could it be potentially interesting?
Now the next question. I’m kinda starting to have second thoughts about her moving into Deliverance. I mean, her dad is going to be there, and that’s a pretty big argument against moving in. And getting rid of him through off-screen circumstances won’t do anything, because he’s pretty much her only link to the world of rich and powerful. She won’t get an entry ticket without him. So, that’s a question for all the players on Bree’s route. Will you be okay with eventually losing her forever, or should I invent a really significant reason for her to be there? I can do that, just tell me your opinion. Normally I would do a poll for that, but we can settle the details later. For now I just need a general direction, and I hope you can help me with that.
Thanks, and have a nice day!

Because of the way my story is structured it is not possible to make a character’s presence optional. Which means that Bree either goes or stays, otherwise the amount of different paths I’ll have to write will grow exponentially. And I asked this question mostly because I myself am not sure what Bree’s ending should be. For now I decided to let you hang out with her without sex, just talk and get to know her better, and the dialogues in these scenes will be very different from the sex route. I’m still not sure, but for now I’m okay with the result.

2020-06-17 19:54:15 +0000 UTCAs for the second half of your question I feel like Bree staying or going should definitely be an option. I don't know your endgame personally so it'd be hard to give my full opinion 0f what to do. But i feel like it should be possibility but maybe not something easy to do and even if you fail maybe see her again later??

2020-06-17 19:34:45 +0000 UTCI like Bree a bunch, top 5 definitely. So being able to be emotionally available to her as a friend instead of a plaything would be delightful. People genuinely don't give you enough credit but you're really rather good at writing believable characters (Although disagree with a few things but thats mostly poll decisions and not you).

2020-06-17 19:30:20 +0000 UTCThat's not exactly what I had in mind. I'm thinking of a scenario where Blake refuses to have sex with her as long as she has all these issues. So they go through therapy and different challenges together in order to heal her mental wounds and just make her a better person in general. Then, at the very end, they share the bed one more time, and say goodbye each other. So we have a bittersweet romance route without the happy end, but with some morals.

2020-06-15 06:47:35 +0000 UTCWhat I'm thinking is that if Blake isn't fucking *her*, and isn't fucking anyone *else*, what will the fun parts consist of? Lots of masturbating? One character having a non-sexual route is one thing, but taking the whole game in a non-porn direction for people who've made certain choices, that might be harder for people to accept. At the very least I'd think he'd be tempted to cheat if he isn't getting any with her, although personally I hate cheating and would much rather see him fucking himself into a coma.

2020-06-14 17:16:02 +0000 UTCWell, Deliverance will be a closed city. No one gets in, no one gets out. So if you can't make it into the city, you're out of the game forever. This will cut A LOT of characters, but initially I planned to take every character with a route there. Now I'm not sure.

2020-06-14 16:15:17 +0000 UTCI absolutely think that's a great idea to have a non-sexual route for Bree. I think she needs a friend more than a dick in her, at least that's how I always found the character to act. As for the rest, I'm not sure without there being a little more information as to how the move to Deliverance and how not moving will affect the storyline. Beyond that, I trust you to make good decisions, but I will always appreciate you asking these questions. Thanks!

2020-06-14 06:40:54 +0000 UTCI think they should be in relationship with each other, but with a chance of her eventually finding someone else with Blake’s help (I can see her having fun with Reese, for example). But I’m interested in your opinion. It can be as broad as you want.

2020-06-13 21:54:50 +0000 UTCHmm, those are some big questions. Are we saying Blake would be in a romantic non-sexual relationship with her or are we talking them just being friends, with him finding someone else for sex, either casual or otherwise?
