Weekly progress report # 16

Hello. It's Sunday once again, and I have another progress report to fill. Let's start.

First of all, thank you for participating in the story and event poll. There's gonna be one more for each type next week (same as always: story poll on Monday, event poll on Tuesday), and our screenplay for v0.6 will be finalised. Yay.

As for the development itself, it's pretty good, although I think I've made a bit too many renders for the first two days of the update. I think I'll be able to finish the rest in reasonable time, but those things are fairly unpredictable. Luckily, I had a several heavy scenes finished in advance, so that will speed up some things. As for the story, those first two days are now fully ready (with the exception of some sprites, which I usually leave for later anyway), while the third one was waiting for the results of the event poll. How much time am I going to spend on the fourth and fifth days, which are still almost empty? Nobody knows. But I have my schedule and I've been able to hold onto it so far, so I'm fairly optimistic.

The first two fully finished days contain ~50 renders (and I have ~20 more made for the next days so far) and about 27000 words. That's a lot more than I usually do, so if you'll get a feeling that the early stages of the new update are a little too heavy, you're probably right. But. Rebecca needs to be cared for, Blake and Suya are running out of money, and there are some new opportunities opening up, so it's sorta understandable. For me it seems that the pacing is pretty reasonable, but of course only you can judge it for sure.

As for the contents themselves, of course I'm not gonna spoil anything, but I can already tell that if you're a fan of Bree or Kushari, don't expect much. They're still figuring some things out for themselves (although Bree will appear and even play a pretty important role in the story). Steward, Claude and Troy won't be there as well. All of those characters will have their glory in v0.7, I promise. In the next month we might also have a poll for a new character for the side gay route, because as of now we have just two boys, two shemales, and four girls, which isn't really fair, don't you think? However I'm still not sure what personality that character should have. Ideas are welcome.
