Fruda in my mind: What’s New @ the Table

Shoutouts to the Vita. The fourth episode of Side Story, our bi-weekly video game podcast hosted by Austin, has hit the feed. In it Austin, Sylvie and myself (Janine) discuss the loudly French game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Echo Point Nova and more–and we even answer our first ever listener question!

I have to meet him in a beanie!? Ali hit a serious story milestone in last week’s Fields of Mistria stream, so consider yourself warned for bigtime spoilers. If you want to play things safe instead, Mistria stream #21 went up on YouTube recently as well.

Pummeled with indifference. Speaking of YouTube, the second Dreamcast Reading List stream is up on our channel. Jack and Keith playing the original Shenmue in 2025 brings me a really special kind of joy.

Birds get zapped. The fourth of Austin’s Etrian Odyssey 3 streams is also now archived on our channel, featuring Sylvie, Jack, and some…. idk i guess that's a bird?

Bonus! Choose your hero. My jaw dropped when I saw this 3D model and animation (!!!) of Ali’s Perpetua character, Veile, done by Paz over on Bluesky. I feel like it’s the first thing that really made the bell topper on her staff click in my brain?? Anyway, do yourself a favor and check it out!

I agree - waiting is totally chill, but not knowing can be frustrating. Communication is always good, especially with the people supporting the show monetarily.

Gentle feedback: it's obviously ok if things get delayed but e.g. if you publish a release date & realize you won't hit it, it'd be nice if we got a "hey folks perpetua 03 might not be out on Thursday". Much nicer experience than "refreshing my podcast app hoping it's arrived" etc. Loving side stories!!

I just noticed that the main feed hit 1000 (1200 with patreon) hours of audio as of last episode. That's like 7 uninterrupted weeks of FATT. I realise this is an arbitrary milestone, but it does mean I've probably spent over 2000 hours listening to this show, which is about the equivalent of working a full time job for an entire year.

Does anyone remember the game Janine mentioned that sounded kind of like Clue with a different killer each run and other characters can be murdered? I'm kind of curious even though she wasn't very into it.
