Added 2024-09-08 19:56:28 +0000 UTCEarly access is going to be a familiar genre scenario, so I'm thinking September might be a softer/more chill audio. This poll will also be running only a couple days, since I have to turn this one around pretty fast.
1. Comforted in Your Hardest Moment By The Person You Least Expected
This is the full audio version of DT #7. Two people who don't know each other well comfort each other physically in a time of hardship. I still don't know the specific scenario, and I'm not sure if it really matters, because I'd love to experiment with a really dialogue-light audio. These two characters don't have much to say each other, so they help each other stop thinking instead. Maybe it's shared grief or stress or fear of something to come. I think keeping it vague will actually keep it from being too angsty/triggering as well.
2. Bridesmaid Escapes the Reception with the Bride's Ex OR Bride's Brother
EDIT: I can't change the poll now but Ella suggested bride's brother instead of ex and that's pretty fun so if you're voting for this and you like that better lmk in the comments.
Maybe this is a little random, but I did want to do a wedding audio this summer, but wasn't sure on the specificity of it, but this is fun, right? Especially if it's kind of switchy, teasing, soft, surprisingly passionate. What if it's like bridesmaid is "keeping him out of trouble" or "making sure he behaves". We've done a lot of outdoor sex so maybe they end up in the backseat of a car or another room in the venue.
3. You Want to Do More Than Cuddle with Your Sweet Friend
This one is still sort of taking shape in my mind, and again maybe I've done every possible F2L variation but I like the idea of exploring a friendship that is very physically and emotionally intimate, like cuddling and hand-holding and deep emotional sharing--almost all the trappings of a relationship except the sex for some reason. Maybe there's baggage involved or it would just make things a little bit too real for both parties or Speaker is just so shy and sweet that he's never made a move. With fall coming I'm thinking cozy, sweater, touchy seduction.

2024-09-13 21:21:36 +0000 UTCYES. the DnD audios have been such a tease. i'd love to see a witcher 3 type setting! i've had bg3 brainrot for basically the last year so i'm always thinking about what they get up to in those tents at camp, lmao. i'm also a huge sucker for the random roadside inn encounter. there are so many interesting character dynamics possible. i'm personally a bit tired of innocent FMCs in that setting so it would be really cool to see a mischievous/rebellious Listener character, paired with a Speaker who either matches her freak and is some sort of rival, or a more straitlaced one who she's always butting heads with. they could be on the run, or stranded far away from home and reluctantly keep saving each other, or maybe one of them was sent to track down the other. the possibilities are endless! (idk how to tag multiple people in my reply, but this is in response to all of you lol)

I don’t know if either of you are video game girlies, but I also very much could see this being set in a Witcher 3-like setting, featuring tags like [Unexpected Tenderness].

But the song Dead Man Walking by Jon Bellion is SCREAMING for you to do a similar audio. Every time I️ listen to it I️ pretend it’s one of your characters singing it. For anyone who doesn’t know it, the song is from the POV of the guy who’s an artist and has been gaining popularity and his best friends older sister who he hasn’t seen in a while comes to see one of his shows and they get drinks after and then they end up hooking up and the whole song is like teasing about how his sister is gonna kill him but he doesn’t really care, and then he jokes to the best friend that he’s gonna make a song about it and it’s wjshbehwhaga SO perfect for an August character 😭🙏🏻👀

I'm thinking maybe they both have a big exam coming up/ waiting for results of something like the LSAT/MCAT. That is definitely stress inducing. Or maybe they are both kind of low key rivals who are up for partner at their firm, but have somehow found themselves in bed together after a work event. And its the night before the big partner announcement. Like, the steaks are still high and it's for sure still stressful. And I certainly wouldnt have much to say to a rival who is after the same job as me or to some random guy waiting around to take the same exam that Im super stressed about. Both scenarios are still stress heavy, but not as heavy as literal grief.

But it feels like two of the ideas are action-oriented, and I'm already very curious about how the skin-touching SFX are used to represent the characters and the plot. And I thought of an image of cuddle, maybe the speaker would be buried in the listener's shoulder or neck, and the voice would sound muffled but the vibrations would be close to the skin. That deeper contact is a different experience than whispering close to the ear. so hard to explain that idea😢but maybe you could get my point
