🛡️👻❄️ The Ethereal Knights are spoken of as phantasmal warriors who once guarded the veiled thresholds between the planes. Cloaked in armor that blurred the lines of reality, these knights served as protectors of the Ethereal Plane, preventing the spillover of its chaotic essence into the material world.
It is said that the Ethereal Knights had no king nor castle but pledged fealty to the balance of all existence. Their order was founded at the behest of a conclave of powerful spellcasters who had foreseen the peril of unchecked interplanar travel. The knights, therefore, stood as sentinels against entities that sought to exploit the ethereal pathways for conquest or calamity.
Each knight was a master of both combat and arcane, able to step in and out of the Ethereal Plane at will. Their armor, now known as the Ethereal Knight Plate, was their badge of office, and with it, they could face the horrors of the plane without fear, the chilling aura of their presence warding off the malevolent spirits that roamed there. 🛡️👻❄️

Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement by a spellcaster)
This armor resonates with the silent whispers of the ethereal plane, crafted not from metal, but from the condensed essence of the realm between realms. The plate is a living enigma, etched with sigils that shimmer with a ghostly luminance.
The Ethereal Knight Plate has 5 charges and regains all expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the armor, you can use an action to expend some of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC and spellcasting ability, without requiring material components: Blink (1 charge), or Etherealness (3 charges).
If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 20, the armor regains 1d4 expended charges. On a 1, the armor tears open a rift to the Ethereal Plane at the end of your turn.
Ghostly Retribution. While on the Ethereal Plane, the armor grants you a +3 bonus to AC and any creature that hits you with a melee attack will suffer 10 cold damage, as they are met with a frigid aura that radiates from the armor.
