Crowd Design Session for Today

Dear Insane Children, 

Just a quick heads-up that we'll host a Crowd Design Session over on Discord in a few hours. That's at 6PM PST on May 27th (9AM on the 28th here in Shanghai).

What's Discord? Check out THIS LINK to learn more. One important thing to keep in mind: You have to have a first month pledge processed at $5 (or more) in order to unlock Discord access. 

Today's Topic: UI discussion based on Alex's UI/UX images. Those were shared previously in THIS POST. We'll cover some of the comments from that post and gather your general feedback on this topic.

Only when mentioned in one of the previous posts about UX/Ui, I never realised there was a weapon wheel in Doom (2016) Seems a handy thing. Now only the long wait for the game.

I really hope this game gets made for the switch too

CC, we also hoped you'd join. Don't know what else I can do to make it clear how this works... There is a LINK in the post above which takes you to a tutorial on Discord. It also suggests that if you continue to have problems, you can PM us. We don't provide a tutorial in every post that mentions Discord (that would take up huge tracts of land) but we do link to that tutorial every single time. Check out the link. PM us if you're still having trouble. And hopefully, we'll see you next time! We did go through your points on UI/UX, btw.

Which discord channel are these discussions on? There seems to be a voice chat and text based channel on the Discord under design discussion section, yet the previous design discussion was on YouTube after it "aired".. I really wish every post mentioned exactly how to join for people like me who are newcomers, are Discord illiterate, or both (like me.) I'm really bummed I missed taking part in this discussion as UI and UX in gaming is a passion of mine and I wanted to see their thoughts on the weapon wheel system I proposed

Won't be able to attend as alway since I work the day of and have to sleep during the day. I'll always be there for the live streams though :).

As Chris mentioned, a good focus for mouse+keyboard is needed as well. And later on ofc, a full support for controllers on the PC version.

Awesome. Hopefully you won't fall into the trap some games do, making a controller-based UI and then forcing PC players to suffer through bad translations of that. I trust you to do your testing on both controller and mouse+keyboard :)
