I hope everyone enjoyed a fantastic holiday! Did you get all you wished for this year? Like a box of tentacles or a rolly-polly fish head? No? Well, now you have those things - sent with love from Joey.
She also sent along ideas for power ups... in case any of you were feeling low on energy after too much family, food, and fun...
All of these concepts are based off ideas we discussed during the last two Crowd Design sessions over on Discord. You can watch those on my YouTube Channel.
We'll do another of those sessions in the first week of January... but at the moment I am in Thailand meeting with government officials, looking at locations for a new game development studio, and scouting locations for Pirate Jam 2019.
That drone shot is over Ko Roi in Phang Nga Bay. It's one of that locations we'll visit during Pirate Jam. Much thanks for the beautiful drone shot goes to Jamie Furlong over on Sailing Followtheboat. They are also on Patreon - making beautiful travel/sailing videos - go give them a follow!
We still have a few days out on the water and then I'm back to the marina where I'll be able to share a larger update with more news and pictures.
I'm back to Shanghai on January 3rd, at which point we'll resume all our regularly scheduled livestreams, updates, design sessions, and more.
TONS of exciting stuff to report in the new year! We're going to make 2019 amazing!

This time around it would be interesting to see it slow time down and slash enemies to pieces while they're slowed down. It would be cool to have limbs floating apart from the enemy in slow motion as you decapitate them. Something like Metal Gear rising did that was really awesome. But anyway have a great Holiday American on the seas and come back safe ya.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for us. I'm hoping that 2019 is a better year for me. The last few have been very difficult..

2018-12-27 20:45:48 +0000 UTCSUGGESTION: why not a fuel meter instead? A fuel meter similar to AMR. I'm not sure about the power ups. The power ups don't seem to fit the game though. The best power up was in AMR, since in the first game finding power ups was frustrating, a bit too late (found some right after we killed everyone), or very limited. Ps. Sweets can make people more depressed. Sorry if that sounded annoying. Just trying to be accurate.

2018-12-27 14:29:16 +0000 UTCJust love the music boxes and power ups. The music boxes have that perfect line of pretty and creepy that Alice always walks along. I adored the dollhouse level's cakes in Madness Returns so I'm happy to see cake back (with or without bugs inside this time X3.)

Rabbit for special power is alright, I guess, but it kind of makes it less special IMO if you turn it into a consumable. I'd use cakes for special/magic powers, though as it makes a lot more sense.
