Can we not do a giant spider, can't handle giant spiders....

It looked more like the Scold's bridle to me! <a href="https://thisbugslifedotcom.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/c521283798e58a0c72e975ad26afcaf7.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://thisbugslifedotcom.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/c521283798e58a0c72e975ad26afcaf7.jpg</a>

I'm not too big of a fan of the fleshy look for the spider. I think it looked cooler in the previous concepts when it was more doll like.

For the gag on the spiders mouth, it can be a representation of things Alice has seen in the asylum. Gags were used during electro shock therapy to keem the patients quite. Though electro shock therapy didn't start being used till the 1930s, but I'm sure gags in some way were used to keep patients quite.

The spider is not scary at all because its belly and tongue look so vulnerable and the face mask appears to restrain it. It would be more scary to face a beckoning hole of nothingness as a mouth and a body covered with tiny arms waving invitingly at Alice and reaching out pleadingly to her.

I agree that we should cut down the black oil slick from ruins, and add more ash and fire to represent the fire!!

During the livestream there was some question about using anything from Madness Returns that wasn't in the first game. Having had so many memories and weird nightmares kind of come and go over the years when dealing with trauma, it doesn't seem completely out of place to me that things might skip around in that way in the games too. I understand wanting to keep things consistent though, and the idea of ash over ruin works really well considering the timeline. I just wanted to give that other option. Also, yes, she does pick up the cat at the end of the first game. That bothered me a bit in high school when I first played it, but after Madness Returns came out, I decided she must have realized on some subconscious level that the cat was blamed for something said cat didn't actually do. Obviously changes nothing either way, but made me laugh when I thought of it. This also goes with my point above, because memories are so strange to begin with, and adding any kind of trauma into that stew just warps the whole thing, you know? Lastly, I do love the family coming back in some kind of creepy bug form... Something that can remind us of that survivor's guilt that still sticks around so heavily in AMA.

I lobe the new insect enemies! I remember playing the first game being terrified by the nightmare spiders. Not because they were spiders - I kinda like spiders - but the weird baby doll face on it's back (and I also collect dolls...)

regardless the livestream :D

Wonderland is a big place. Having Alice meet both creatures living in Wonderland, and I am not speaking only about bright characters, but also fauna and flora common within Wonderland, perhaps some of them normal fauna, others mutated fauna that has mutated because of the changed occurring in Wonderland, and find ruin monsters like the spider and others who have taken possession of a specific spot or hide somewhere in Wonderland causing more corruption and mutations. Alice should trace them down and defeat the last bits of the corruption. I think this is the best way to avoid the question about whether to keep ruins or not. I honestly really wanted to see more from the ruins, and seeing these concept arts of insect inspired ruins really makes me imagine epic boss fights, mini-boss fights and something tight to the story of the corrupted wonderland, because Alice will both face the bits of the ruins and see what they have done to parts of the fauna and flora of Wonderland. Perhaps you could also have scenes where Alice sees the fauna and flora fighting with the ruins. And you could decide to go in in battle and defeat both the fauna/flora and ruins, or help the fauna and flora of Wonderland fight the ruins, which also inspires me to see how would you interpret how ruins destroy and mutate fauna and flora. It could be something terrible, like seeing ruins kill fauna and flora and making this your goal to stop them on all cost.

Or mom and dad could be eating Lizzie like a spaghetto xD

Make Nine Inch Nails great again

For the family picture that was shown earlier in the stream, my husband thinks if it would be super creepy if lizzie(centipede) came out of the spider dad's mouth. Could also be more terror invoking for alice

I luv it ...... it's so awesome &lt;3

I'll try to be there~ That thing is terrifying... And I love it!

What is that on its mouth? First thing that came to my mind was a ball gag
