B is pretty cool I can see why you are torn between both B and C. I like the details on B but C is pretty cute.

THANK YOU, everyone, for the thoughtful feedback! Really appreciated :) We're going with a modified version of "C" - using your suggestions for some minor adjustments. As I mentioned in the post, we'll print more than we need so I have some on hand as prizes for the weekly live streams and other events. Can't wait to see the final design fluttering above the decks of our Pirate Jam sailing fleet! :)

I really like B and E. However, since the event is for game developers etc I would go with B. I really like the pixel look. To me it kinda embodies the event. No text needed.

In my opinion B would look the best, if you shrink the skull, raise it a bit and fit the text underneath it.

I think C as I like the simple skull better than the skulls of B or D

My favorite is B. Its clean, simple and gets the message across. Sometimes less is more and I think it covers it :)

I agree that the text should be included. My personal favourite is F as it's the cleanest and clearest, but C would be nice if you're specifically going for that pixelated look.

I really like C the best. It really has everything it needs. Simple, sweet and to the point. Though like others said, if you really like B, shrink it and add the text like C and, ta-da! Awesomeness.

I finally get the opportunity to say out loud how "Pirate Jam" sounds like "Py.Jamas" for me. So releaved!

I'd pick C for sure, it's the one that looks the most game-esque and you're in no doubt that it's a Jam with the text, so hopefully this will help minimize the risk of you getting shot by the local authorities ;P Only think I'd jazz up a bit would be the font, perhaps "tear" it up a bit more.

I like C as it is, however as others have pointed above B, or D, combined with "Pirate Jam", would work best. The design of the skull is most eye-catching there and I think you do still need the name of the event displayed.

I think a pixelated design gives away the video game association. There are a lot of other brands that use little skulls for branding. I think C is the perfect fit. It gives off the right connotation. Another thing I think could be great is if you love B so much you could bring the logo size of B down to C's size and put "Pirate Jam" under it. I think that would be fantastic too. :)

Take the text from C, and put it with B, with some tweaking of scale and font size. Then you get the impact of the awesome skull logo, and the name of the event

Personal preference would be A, but without the corner bits, or D. Not keen on the traditional-looking design nor the font of E and F. The hanging things on B don't work for me but I do like the pixellated effect. For me the pixel effect says everything, hence not a need for wording, but I understand you want max branding. C if you have to have wording but make the skull a little bigger.

If the brand hasn't been established and they're still looking at changing the logo, then all options are on the table but from the Pirate Jam website, it looks like they're already using the skull from flag A and C. Going with a different logo at this point would confuse the brand (and is ultimately unnecessary). A is clean but it doesn't 'inform' so my vote goes to C :)

I like A. It is cool 8bit that yeah is used on C as well but is the focus, not the name.

I like C the best. I'm a big fan of the 8-bit ish style of the skull. But if you are looking for simplistic impact, B. I like the addition of the Pirate Jam logo, though!

C for me, 8-bit skull and crossbones says it is for gaming and the logo says what it is. You don't want to be mistaken for a real pirate going to raid towns and all.

I really like the 3rd one on the top row I think its a perfect fit!❤
