First of all, I'm so sorry for everything that has been happening lately... Terrible things are always like that for some reason, always come when you're already struggling... Talking about movies, I really enjoyed thunderbolts., first line and I was invested, and slightly to connected to Yelena. Genuinely good storytelling in that movie.

2025-09-23 09:29:04 +0000 UTCThis is also done by the Bondi Lifeguards when someone is resuscitated, or requires life saving first aid (whether or not it's successfully administered). They're lucky enough to have a camera crew during summers filming for Bondi Rescue, so they can really analyse what happened, but ultimately the point is to review how they responded and what they could have differently, and make plans for next time. Most of the time, it's "maybe we could have supported their neck better dragging them out of the sea, but we started first aid as quickly as possible and that's what matters". Even when someone does something stupid (Jethro driving the jet ski onto the beach at speed and dislocating his shoulder) they treat it as a learning opportunity (don't drive the jet ski at speed onto the beach lol) It keeps you from spiralling. From going "what if". Dan, I really hope you've benefitted from this. You as well, Tim.

2025-09-17 23:26:16 +0000 UTCI can relate to the part about writing down everything just to check you did it all right. I'm a first aider at my workplace and last week we unfortunately were called to someone having a heart attack. It was about 20 minutes we were their untill the paramedics arrived. Unfortunately the outcome was not good and it really hit me as it's the first time I'd done that. After some time off I came back to talk with another more experienced first aider to run though what we did. I knew we had done everything right and that we couldn't have changed the outcome no matter what we did. But it helped to talk it though anyway. I hope that it's helped you as well ❤️🩹
