That way we can get rid of the "popular character of the week" winning and the others be something else.

It's straight up identity theft just without any attempt at a disguise. Plus, if you entertain that she is a man, you have to make the claim that transgender people are choosing to feel that way, rather than being born that way, reason being because Yamato made no such claims of being a man until AFTER she witnessed Oden and decided to model her life after his, meaning she CHOSE to be like him. Claiming to be your childhood hero does not equal being transgender and I really don't understand how it was ever perceived that way by the fanbase.
