Added 2024-06-01 21:31:01 +0000 UTCI posted this on instagram a few years ago but…if you ever wanted to know what kind of kid I was like, you have your exhibit A. This was me forcing my brother to perform in my auteur interpretation of the book, “The Island of Blue Dolphins.” This was a book that we read in fourth grade, and I guess I couldn’t get enough. Lol Cinematography courtesy of my dad.

For some reason I was always leaning into the british thing as a kid when I would act lol.

2024-06-05 18:29:11 +0000 UTCThanks. No, not really. I never really felt some urge to have some artistic point of view there.

2024-06-01 23:09:22 +0000 UTCSo I was going off of the performances used in the movie that was made in the 1960s. They speak clearly and with no conjunctions. I wasn't doing an accent. I was just projecting like on stage, and speaking in character. Dig my moccasins lol. Yeah my brother always performed anything I asked him to, always through gritted teeth. This was one of dozens lol. Though we do legit look like native americans lol. I enjoy how my brother is wearing a Batman cape as his costume to be the Chief of the island. I'll have to find the one where we re-enact Star Wars.

2024-06-01 22:11:08 +0000 UTCHaha…I remember that book. I read it too in grade school. Love your alternating accents for the characters, though I wonder why your Native American heroine sounds like she’s British lol. Yeah, your brother looks like he’s really into it. Did you threaten to beat him up if he didn’t act in your production?
