Maximillon Dood ROCK-SOLID The Real K-Rino

davis376 .

I love penguiz0. He's so blunt, funny, and unpretentious. I wish more would follow that style. It's just really comforting. He's like a buddy.

My big-time favorites are Thomas Flight, penguinz0, LEMMiNO, JCS, Super Eyepatch Wolf, and deepfocuslens. I also really loved Buzzfeed Unsolved when Shane and Ryan were on there doing their thing but their new YouTube channel (Watcher) I couldn’t get into. It’s too soft & boring. And then they just got under fire the past few days for only making content through a paywall going forward.

Shane Palamara

Ryan George is my current favourite channel for comedy sketches. The Vile Eye for his analysing evil series when I’m feeling like watching something more intellectual

Matthew Silcock

I like RedLetterMedia, Brandon Tenold's Cult Movie Reviews, and still have a soft spot for James Rolfe (Angry Video Game Nerd, and anything that he does on older, classic horror or cinema) who I've been watching forever. But honestly none of them discuss my true passion -- great art films (esp. the timeless ones from earlier decades) -- like DeepFocusLens. Just saying.

To add... I know we're talking about channels but here are just some of impressions videos that I often return to: George Lopez does Scarface https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1hY3OGnfJ8 Kevin Pollak does Columbo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXvguneDaZ8 Peter Falk faces Columbo impersonator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMDE9-jwTKI Kevin Pollak parodies Christopher Walken: Poker Face reading https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEjr3i98ga0

https://i.imgur.com/VSv9GQe.jpeg But seriously... I'll start with video (channel is irrelevant in this case), quality is the shit (you can notice the movement tho :P ) but it's the only source that I could find. Dance performance from You Can Dance (polish edition) show that took place many years ago. I've seen it a few times for the last days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRiwn2Ey0is Here's the translation: Kamil Kucharzewski: "I'm never sure but I always have to try." - Kamil Kucharzewski: "Good morning." - Jury: "Good Morning." - Kamil Kucharzewski: "My name is Kamil Kucharzewski. I'm 11 years old and I love to dance Electric Boogie." - Jury: "Tell me, how long do you dance?" - Kamil Kucharzewski: "Two years." - Jury: "And do you want to join this show?" - Kamil Kucharzewski: He responded something like "well, yeah". - Jury: "So tell me, what's your biggest achievement in dancing?" - Kamil Kucharzewski: "I'm Vice Champion of the world in this dance." - Jury: "Vice Champion, yes?" He starts dancing... As for youtube channels... I'm into deepfocuslens, obviously :) Super fan. Also I'm subscribing "jakbyniepaczec". They are Polish duo that making professional reviews, mostly tv shows. Plus, they're visiting locations where certain tv shows were shot and interviewing actors, producers, etc. on occasion. I'm a tennis fan so I often watch highlights from matches and full matches when possible. Beyond that I'm subscribing "LM Reactions". Very emotional and honest respond from two women that reacting to tv shows they're watching. I used to watch their videos more often but I'm a little behind now. Similar with "WatchMojo.com", I like these videos on various topics but I have a lot to catch up. I watch all sorts of things; funny commercials, movie clips, interviews, sport,... Significant part of it are music videos. Sometimes random stuff popped up on my feed and I found them interesting.

I’m a big movie guy, and the main channels I go to beyond yours for movie related info are The Oscar Expert and RLM. I like Movie Math w/ Grace Randolph but she might just be the worst movie reviewer I’ve ever encountered. Few others: Razzle, Myra West, The Critical Drinker, Thoraya. There are many more, but those are some of the main ones.

Ken

That's too bad. I like your videos on old movies. Maybe once in a great while.

Matt C

I'll have to check that one. the name is really intriguing haha

Deepfocuslens

I enjoy the Charismatic Voice. Her opinions are dwarfed by her enthusiasm. So much fun.

Paul Robinson

Nice. I also follow channels similarly for sports commentary. I am huge into figure skating and so for that no better place to get great info that isn't watered down by the media, from people who really know their shit. Same with mma guru for mma.

Deepfocuslens

I kinda like Be kind Rewind. She does what I wish I could do: talk about old movie history where people would actually care to listen. She does excellent work, and I enjoy it. But I struggle a ton with her politics, and it keeps me from loving her. And just the whole feminist thing of "I refuse to ever cover men on this channel" just feels so petty and lame. But again...smart girl.

My YouTube viewing habits are pretty varied and are often driven by a specific goal such as finding out what people think about X or how to solve X problem with some piece of software or how to do X thing in real life or current news about X etc. Also like everyone I guess I sometimes get caught up in whatever crappy thing might be trending or get caught up with clickbait stuff (a recent example would be shorts about Chick-A-Fil girl or a while back it was NPC girl or people getting angry at Just Stop Oil protestors etc.) I guess I do watch Daily Dose of Internet quite often. I sometimes watch Rick Beato, Sea of Tranquillity or Norman Maslov in relation to music. I sometimes watch Premiere Girl (or similar people) for premiere pro editing info. Numerous news channels - BBC, ITV, Sky, CNN, MSNBC, DT News. For board games - The Dice Tower, Shut Up & Sit Down. For Film - Terry Talks Movies, Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckmann, John Campea, Red Letter Media, Critical Drinker, Kermode & Mayo, Studiobinder, Cinema Cities. Also various trailer sites and core steamers & physical media companies like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Arrow Video, Criterion etc. For history(ish) stuff - Metatron, Mark Felton Productions, Historia Civilis, Voices of the Past. For space news - Marcus House, Videosfromspace, SpaceX, Nasa. Various reactors - Mary Cherry, Kat & Sonny, Natalie Gold, Alyciadweeb etc. Random comedy type stuff like - Bad Lip Reading, ERB, Caroline Konstnar, Tim Minchin, Garfunkel & Oates, Tom Lehrer, Vought International. Art Stuff - pete beard.

I forgot to mention this channel called Factinate. They do a lot of great mini-documentaries on various world figures especially old school movie stars. They recently did ones on Burt Lancaster and James Cagney I think you might enjoy. They also did one on Gary Cooper this week, I've been meaning to check out. https://www.youtube.com/@Factinate/videos

Truth be told, I don't follow a whole lot of channels on the regular. I used to follow RLM and watch their Half in the Bag program after watching and loving their Star Wars reviews, but I eventually tuned out after I noticed their adherence to reviewing only genre films (horror, sci-fi, superhero, etc.). I don't really listen to other YouTube film critics. I mainly read print, and even then, that's only for films that really interest me. Ferrari, for example, was the last film where I scoured the collected reviews for it in Metacritic. You were someone I stumbled across by happenstance. I wasn't looking to regularly follow a film critic, but I liked what you had to say, so I stuck around. What I watch more often are those YouTubers who react to a classic movie that they claim to have never seen. I must admit, I get a kick out of them be horrified by an intense scene that I'm all too familiar with, like the crucifix scene from The Exorcist or the bathroom scene from Full Metal Jacket. If they're playing up their innocence of such movies, they do a good job of it. I tend to go down rabbit holes on YouTube more than anything. For example, once Conan O'Brien appeared on Hot Ones last week, I had to find and watch every other clip of him out there, both old and recent. Don't care if it's Charlie Rose or some junket interview, I gotta see it. Most recently it was Bill Burr because he appeared on GQ's undercover internet series they do. For people like Theo Von or Joe Rogan or Bobby Lee...it just depends on what guest they have on. The only person I have a subscription to other than you is MrBallen. He tells dark, disturbing real-life stories of people who meet horrible fates in the workplace, or hiking, or anywhere else. I love all that scary true story shit. It's amazing how many people go missing in this world. I think I've showed you some videos of him before, but he's a rabbit hole worth going down. I'm sure we've discussed this before, but if there are any film critics or comedians on YouTube worth regularly following, let me know. I've watched Chris Stuckmann every once in a while, but if there's anyone else, any hidden gems, I'd be curious to check them out.

A lot of comedy related channels like Stavys World, We Might Be Drunk and Matt & Shane’s Secret Podcast. The Regz with Dan Soder, Joe List, Bobby Kelly and Louis J Gomez is a new favorite. Also as a football guy I’m into channels like Pat McAfee Show & PFF. As far as movie channels it’s pretty much just you and Red Letter Media at this point although I’m always looking for something new.

Stephen

RLM, Oneyplays, Internet a Historian, and most recently a newer YouTuber named Owen Kung. And you of course🤗

The Trail We Banana

I’ve been watching red letter media for over a decade now. I’m also really into guitar pedals, collecting and building them, so I watch Brian Wampler’s channel.

Shaeffer Holt

This silly channel, think her name is deepfriedlens or something. She thinks she knows movies 😂😂🤣🤣😂. She also works at like a burrito place or something. Lol

swift minus one

I like Mandalore Gaming, Sseth, and Channel 5. They got nothing to do with movies but I like the content.

Arthur Augustyn

As a big time hockey fan, The Hockey Guy is the best channel for hockey related news, scores, history, etc. and he uses a dry erase board for everything. He also has an insane jersey collection. Also, there's Better Bachelor who's all about the dating world and politics and he helped me find myself after getting my heart broken countless times by realizing that I'm better off without trying to get a girlfriend and my self esteem hasn't been hurt ever since. Then there's The Merkins who make these absolutely brilliant music videos starring the famous slasher movie killers parodying the boy bands of the 1990s and 2000s as well as other hit songs. Jason, Freddy, Michael, Leatherface, and Ghostface are The Slashstreet Boys and the more you know about the movies and videos they're imitating, the funnier they are. Examples include Michael Myers doing George Michael songs and Leatherface as a country singer with songs like Friends With No Faces and I Think My Chainsaw's Sexy. I'd argue that they're far better than most of the movies.

Other than yours? As to film: Final Girl Studios, Focus Features, BFI, Your Cult Boyfriend, Violet Wave Productions, Yroc Sonex Productions, A24, Mike Jay Films, Be Kind Rewind and others. I follow witchcraft channels that have good cinematography and aesthetics: Witch of Wonderlust, The Green Witch, the Norse Witch and others. Tarot readers: Goddess Energy, Pink Pineapple Tarot, Portal to 4th Density, Through Lynn's Eyes, and G-Gabrielle. Philosophy: Savannah Brown and FLUID.

I have several channels I follow regularly on YouTube. Most are of the entertainment variety like Minty Comedic Arts (https://youtube.com/@MintyComedicArts?si=s9VVyGHrZz0BWZ67) and WhatCulture and WhatCulture Horror channels (https://youtube.com/@whatculture?si=yfG4OasCXH0H6FSX & https://youtube.com/@WhatCultureHorror?si=nMhjiRzOpsaJ1_g5). I also enjoy JoBlo Originals & Horror videos (https://youtube.com/@JoBloOriginals?si=_SQGXlywGkI011LK & https://youtube.com/@JoBloHorrorOriginals?si=mBR5YFyKC1HtIKpm). And Ryan George’s Pitch Meetings channel episodes are hilarious (https://youtube.com/@PitchMeetings?si=TD7zh0J6n1O_ac1g) as are all of Ryan George’s videos in general (https://youtube.com/@RyanGeorge?si=MmD2H0J7LNcOlfYg). And for a slightly comedic take on a film review, I go to Jeremy Jahns (https://youtube.com/@JeremyJahns?si=mDdLmdQbftltKTKW). I also enjoy analysis from Nerdrotic (https://youtube.com/@nerdrotic?si=lScQne6_PADV5JLi) & The Critical Drinker (https://youtube.com/@TheCriticalDrinker?si=zLTcDBQX3EG_2M94). And for political analysis, I watch Mark Dice (https://youtube.com/@MarkDice?si=D5ajz7hJNb1l9GJq) and Don’t Walk, Run! Productions (https://youtube.com/@DontWalkRUN?si=hAAM4TCYtSnNKd15). Those are pretty much my regular YouTube consumption each week.

TenzingNorgay82

Anna Akana , shes good for self help advice and Jeremy Jahns. I consider him the best film critic on youtube.

Herbert Baker

I really like Mark Crilley’s channel. His videos are aimed towards a younger crowd, but I think a lot of his videos are insightful for beginning comic book artists/writers https://youtu.be/Jqt32aKSZ10?si=jMpMzvnKveXFlRdX
