May Movies Releases

Watcha lookin forward to for the month of May?

Comments

Yeah the over the top aspects of the trailer seemed very appropriate. I dont see a problem with it in that context. Looks fun.

Furiosa for sure. The Fall Guy for Gosling (I still haven't seen Barbie yet), and I've always been a huge fan of Emily Blunt. Back to Black might be good (I've only seen the trailer without sound). I think I've had enough ape movies to last a lifetime. I don't think I'll see that one unless someone drags me to it - which they won't.

Furiosa for sure!

I’ve got my eye on The Fall Guy (loved the TV show), Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (loved the Caesar trilogy), IF (love me some Ryan Reynolds), Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (love me some George Miller and Anya Taylor-Joy … and Chris Hemsworth is a reliable actor, and … The Garfield Movie … because I love me some Chris Pratt and the mannerisms and attitude of Garfield look perfectly captured in this new film. I don’t care if the voice sounds the same as the animated TV show.

The fact that The Fall Guy is more of a love letter to the stuntman profession from David Leitch makes this a must see for fans of great action movies. I think it’s going to be a helluva good time with old school practical effects (ie no green screen).

The Fall Guy—am I the only one on the fence about this one? I dunno, it just seems like they’re trying too hard in the trailer. But I like both actors, especially now that everyone has discovered Gosling can be funny. It could be a good time. Unfrosted—this has all the likelihood to be horrible. His show aside, Seinfeld has never been as funny as he thinks he is, and this movie will only affirm that. But… I hold out a sliver of hope, if only because he’s got an all-star cast. Evil Does Not Exist—the latest from the director of Drive My Car. Know next to nothing about it. I’m there. Back to Black—Amy Winehouse biopic. Gotta see the trailer first before I make up my mind. Furiosa—my most anticipated May movie. George Miller made one of the greatest films of the last decade with Fury Road. I doubt he’ll top it, but I want to see and find out. In a Violent Nature—art-house slasher film. Sounds intriguing. Finally, The Garfield Movie—because the last two were so good.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes & Furiosa. Might check out that Beach Boys Doc on Disney+ but it looks a little on the lighter side rather than an exploration of their more interesting later rock & psychedelic work.

“I Saw the TV Glow” looks really interesting. But it looks like it could either be a great film or a complete train wreck lol

Looking forward to hearing the reactions of the Cannes Film Festival movies.

Ken

Looking forward to see Furiosa.

Furiosa, new Planet of the Apes, and The Fall Guy. I thought Fall Guy was gonna be mid and I was gonna skip it, but the power of Ryan Gosling.
