I suppose for me the hunger games . Otherwise not really excited about anything that's a new release

swift minus one

You’re right, there’s a lot coming out between now and the end of the year. Prestige movie season has begun. Priscilla (Nov. 3)—Sofia Coppola has in the past had the burden of the label Woman Filmmaker and the accompanying pedestal you’re required to stand on to go with it, but…though I haven’t liked all her films, I still think she’s an interesting director, and I’m curious to see how she handles the story of Priscilla Presley. The Holdovers (Nov. 10)—Alexander Payne had a remarkable run in the 2000s with a series of modest, bleakly funny character studies, so it’s fun to see him go back to doing that. With the great Paul Giamatti, no less. Nyad (Nov. 3 on Netflix)—photographer Jimmy Chin makes his feature film debut co-directing this portrait of swimmer Diana Nyad. It’s supposed to be an uncompromising depiction of her, showcasing her intense drive and the alienating effects it has on those around her. Great performances by Annette Bening as Nyad and Jodie Foster as her partner. The Killer (Nov. 10 on Netflix)—an adaptation by David Fincher of a graphic novel about a contract killer, played by Michael Fassbender. Not supposed to be one of Fincher’s best, but it’s still Fincher so it should be interesting. And anything’s better than Mank. Dream Scenario (Nov. 10)—I know I trumpet every Nicolas Cage film that comes out, but this one is different. He’s been getting some of the best reviews of his career for his performance as a mediocre, dweebish college professor who realizes he’s been in the dreams of millions of people around the world. Meant as a satire of sudden Internet fame and the subsequent backlash that can occur from writer-director Kristoffer Borgli, who made an equally intriguing body-horror satire on the same topic called Sick of Myself. Saltburn (Nov. 22)—Emerald Fennell’s follow-up to Promising Young Woman about a young man of limited financial means who infiltrates, with Ripley-esque cunning, the world of his rich classmate. Barry Keoghan plays the lead role and Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi plays the classmate. May December (Nov. 17 in limited release; Dec. 1 on Netflix)—Todd Haynes’s newest film focuses on a couple with a scandalous past whose relationship comes under pressure when an actress arrives to research and study them for an upcoming role. Julianne Moore plays the wife, Natalie Portman plays the actress. Intriguing concept based on the story of Mary Kay Letorneau, a teacher who notoriously began a relationship with her 14 year old student. Napoleon (Nov. 22)—Ridley Scott has had a notoriously checkered career his entire run, but he seems to do well with historical epics. So I have high hopes for Napoleon, especially given that Joaquin Phoenix is playing him. Don’t know if I’ll check out the 4-hour cut when that comes out on Apple though.

I'm a little bit of a Hunger Games fan so looking forward to the new movie having read the book. Dream Scenario with Nic Cage sounds really intriguing given what I've heard out of festivals. Saltburn looks like it could be some Babylon sort of shit so obviously intrigued there. The Killer is new Fincher so obviously there for that. May December looks REALLY intriguing. Very Persona influenced it seems. Not a movie but the show The Curse with Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder is so up my alley. Lots of other little picks I'm sure others will mention.
