This is just the intro. Hence the very low version number. You will probably see several placeholders. Maybe something like 10+ minutes of gameplay if you read as slow as me.
(The rest of this post is just me yapping while waiting for the uploads to finish. You can skip to the notes at the bottom.)
While combat is active, rollback is disabled. If not, the game completely breaks. It's even worse than GnB. Just a limitation of Ren'Py and much more complex code this time around. I haven't fully decided on whether I should completely disable the menu (right click) while in combat or leave it like it is. If you save and reload or replay a scene from the gallery during combat, things can get weird. However, being unable to open the menu during combat is pretty annoying. I believe it is possible to disable the save and gallery buttons during combat. I could maybe do that. Anyways, let me know what you think.
Everyone but Vivi has a "speed" of 1 during the first battle and the test battle (on hard mode). This means everyone is getting their turn at the same time. As the game progresses, characters will have varying degrees of speed. It will feel much more like an ATB when that is the case.
In the first battle, one of your companions is a temporary "bonus" companion. Bonus companions do not have HP, their stats are not shown, and they can not be downed. If both of your and your normal companion's HPs hit 0, the battle will be lost despite the bonus companion. Let me know what you think about this. Better to adjust it early if the popular opinion opposes the way things are currently.
There are currently no items in the game except for a few test items. I left those in so you can at least get an idea of how the inventory will function. Combat items don't exist yet either. The item button in combat will just do a basic attack for now. Same goes for "Skill 1". The Heal skill should be functional. You can even use that one out of combat from the Skills tab in the Character Screen.
The map screen is not ready. It looks ugly at the moment. I don't want to delay this release just for that, so the map is disabled for now. You wouldn't be able to go anywhere yet anyways. I'll have the map looking nice and functional for the next version.
I'm not ready to start promoting DI, so please don't post this anywhere yet. :)

Note: I've released this to all tiers this time only. There's a good chance that there will be no GnB update this month, so this is the compensation if that is the case. Everything in this release will eventually be part of the free demo anyways. All future updates to DI will be exclusive to the $10 tier from here on.
Note 2: Now that DI is technically officially released, I'll be going through with those Patreon changes mentioned in June's news post. I'll start on that tomorrow, though. Playtesting the hell out of v0.0.1 to make sure the couple minutes of gameplay didn't horribly break is enough fun for one day.
