Ask Me Anything

Hey everyone! I hope everyone's staying safe and healthy! It's that time of week again where I ask you all for questions that hopefully I have answers to!

Just leave questions down below and I'll reply to them in a video on Friday. Hopefully you saw last week's, as I thought there was some good stuff in there! Anyway, hope to hear from some of you soon!

Okay, I've got a question about a part of your JL8 production process that I haven't seen you mention anywhere - namely, the "grease spots" and "wrinkles" that you add to the strips that make readers subconsciously feel more like they're reading a comic printed in an actual, physical newspaper/comic book. How do you get/make these patterns? (I'm assuming Photoshop.) Also (feel free not to answer this if you think it'll spoil too much of the magic), how often do you reuse these patterns? I reread #260 enough that I noticed you can see the same pattern on each of the six pages if you look carefully, but I haven't studied the rest of the strips as closely.
