Upcoming plans and tier changes

Hi all! Decided that it’d be best to get some housekeeping out of the way here, so this message is divided into two parts. Both of them are important, so at least skim them if you’re a $5 or $10 patron.

Plans for the rest of July and August

Next week (aka the last week of July) we will be releasing our Patroncast on Aqua Teen Hunger Force (spoiler: we disagree strongly on it) and we will be putting up another Patroncast poll (see more below). We will also be having a Google Hangout next week. Normally, that tier is exclusive to $10 patrons, but we will be opening to $5 patrons for this session only! Not 100% nailed down yet, but we believe it will be on Monday the 27th. Be there if you can!

As for August, as you’ve seen, we’re planning to start incorporating Seth’s other shows into rotation a bit more—while we’ll always be THE Family Guy podcast fire and foremost, we’re going to start including more episodes on American Dad, as well as starting to talk about The Cleveland Show and The Orville in our regular rotation. If you’re just here for Family Guy, don’t fret, as we still have a lot of that show to cover left (and some big guests—we have one we’re very excited for coming soon). Otherwise, we hope you enjoy our journey into the Extended McFarlane Universe and beyond.

Changes to Patreon Tiers

As of writing, we have about eighty patrons. That is far more than any of us were reasonably expecting, and the amount just keeps on climbing each month! As such, we had to overhaul the tiers a bit to keep things manageable.

For $5 patrons: unfortunately, the ability to request something for Patroncast will have to be moved to our $10 tier. This is mostly a practical decision—we can’t really have a poll with 80 options and 80 voters. You will still be able to vote in polls, however.

For $10 patrons: for the next couple months (just as the three of us get settled—our lives are all kind of chaotic right now) the Google Hangouts will be monthly rather than bimonthly. Apologies for this (it wasn’t super clear as-is), but it’s just what we need to do for the time being. The spec script tier has been delayed a bit for similar reasons, though we still plan to do some fun stuff with that. However, don’t worry—we are planning on setting up a discord soon, and there will be rewards for you all there. And who knows, maybe even more content...
