UNIVERSE LEAGUE - Episode 2

UNIVERSE LEAGUE - Episode 2

Alright I have my picks. Of course Joohyoung is at the top of my list because he is from nine.i and he is so talented and funny and sweet. Cha woongki is right up there too. I just really love him and wish he can finally debut. Personality goes a long way for me when choosing my faves so I will pick more once I can see some of the fun variety type content. There are way too many talented eye catching new boys.

That’s interesting cause they look identical

I think what Changsub mean "hiding Jeongwoo" is by tweaking the choreo a bit. Like changing how he enters on his part and what's happening while he enters, to hide the awkwardness. Choreographers or Choreo Directors do that usually in group dances when something is awkward or if someone is. They also do that on other shows, they just don't show it or they just don't call it "hiding their weakness".

The Hiroto here and from Boys Planet are different. This one is from Okinawa and was born on 2003, Hiroto of Boys Planet is from Osaka and born on 2002.

I think Rhythm team did really well and did less mistake so they deserve the win, but personally, I appreciate the Groove team's performance more. I agree with klementina because I also think having good basic foundation of singing and dancing is the minimum requirement of being an idol, because at the end of the day, idols are primarily singers because they produce music in the first place. As singer, they should be able to perform their songs live. I'm not saying that they should all have main vocalist level of skill but they should at least be skillful enough to sing their songs live. I do like Kyungho and I think he is a good leader, but I don't think it is dumb to give the rap part to him. Missing You chorus has a high note and that will require a good vocal control to be executed. His voice cracked twice at the same high note, and although he definitely can improve with more practice, I don't think it is wise to give him that part and just hope he can pull it off during the actual performance. He still get some vocal part, just not the chorus. The vocal part that he got was not much though, so if they want to distribute the song's parts somewhat equally, they should give the rap part to him and Kenta. And him being a korean, they might think he could pull off the rap as the rap was not actually that fast. They also give him the break dance to accentuate his dancing talent and that actually give a spot light to him that balance out the other spot light given to the other members during the vocal parts. Considering all of that, I think that decision is the best that they could do. I do think Kyungho can pull the rap off but maybe his nerves got the better of him and he stumble a bit. I like that he carried on the performance as best as he could without faltering. 😁😊☺️

Omg I didn't know that about El Capitxn, thanks for letting me know 🥰 And I just looked up Hiroto on Boys Planet, you’re right! I remember him now! I didn't recognize him here haha...it's also been quite a while since I've seen him. He's on my Groove list!

Maybe they'll resolve it on this show? I really like Kyungho as well 💪🏻

Yes, it's a good base/ starting point to see where their vocals are at!

I think most times they say to sing the national anthem because by heart most people know the words, its about getting the right tone for the song my vocal teacher started me off singing the national anthem to see where to start teaching me, and if I had an ear for my pitch/tone of voice when it came to singing with out the nerves of singing a song where I could mess up the lyrics throwing me out of sync.

they really done Kyungho dirty with editing, like he said himslf he never rapped before...like it was dumb to give him rap. At least he had dance solo!

Hirato, the last one picked by Team Groove, was on Boys Planet and did really well and went far there. I am not sure if he was just super nervous but, he is better than what he showed here. Fun fact, El Capitxn, one of the directors for Team Beat, is close with Heeseung of Enhypen and helped him with Highway 1009

I see the talent but I need to see more personality...I guess this is what lacks for me in most survival shows. also why most boys look like babies, maybe cause they are actually so young lol I feel old... I really like Kyungho though, he is mature and also very talented, he looks like a ready-to-be idol, would be fun if he was in the same group as Woongki(my first pick), they seem to have an unresolved history tho

For me, the Grove team should have won. They have better singers. Don't get me wrong, the Rhythm team is fantastic, but I'm one of those people who prioritizes singing and Grove has more really good singers than the other teams. The Rhythm team had more help with singing than the Grove team. The Rhythm team had some mistakes but they didn't show them, while the Grove team they showed them. That's editing. But all the teams are very good.
