I think you should go with whatever gives you the most views. I often watch long videos. If I don't finish in one sitting I just pick up where I left off. But I'm not sure about your average viewer? Good luck!

2025-02-03 20:14:39 +0000 UTCI’d Love the whole 3 hour video, but am happy to listen in 2-3 parts too. Your work always is SO Interesting and informative.

2025-01-23 23:27:35 +0000 UTCI typically like 45 min videos at the longest. But if the video has chapters in it, splitting up the topics and good time stamps. Then I would enjoy a more complete fluid video I can jump back into. Perhaps make a trailer for the video first to get excited about all the content?

2025-01-23 14:01:09 +0000 UTCI prefer videos of about an hour max, can watch up to two hours on the weekend, but rarely have enough time for a three hour or longer.

2025-01-18 23:34:40 +0000 UTCLooking forward to it! Definitely a strong preference for one long video.

2025-01-17 12:57:43 +0000 UTCHehehehe...Why not both? If the overall structure is in the form of segments/chapters then break it up in 3x one hour segments. Then release a single combined 3 hour video. I see some channels on YouTube have taken that approach. It caters for everyone, and I don't think it would take a lot of effort to edit it. Keep up the good work!

2025-01-17 05:57:23 +0000 UTCI'm partial to one big video, but whatever is easier for you

2025-01-17 01:55:41 +0000 UTCExciting! Either option works. Personally would lean towards splitting.

2025-01-16 22:56:59 +0000 UTCSeries is my preference, esp. if each part comes out as it's created, but that may not be how it's created. But in the end you should do what's best for you, but I'm anxious to watch it or them for sure!

2025-01-16 11:09:51 +0000 UTCI want to see it in one big chunk

2025-01-16 08:21:49 +0000 UTCI'm open to split video or a three-hour video, whatever is easiest for you, looks like you put in a lot of effort in making the video, should be good

2025-01-16 05:31:55 +0000 UTCI could listen as a three hour audiobook. For a video, breaking it into hour-long parts is my preference. Or release it in one format when it's ready, then in the other format later.

2025-01-16 04:20:50 +0000 UTCBreak it up in parts 💗

2025-01-16 00:40:03 +0000 UTCSegmented videos sound better. I could watch a multi-hour video, but having it in chunks will get the material out faster and put less strain on you, I think. A series will probably net you more views. Whatever works best for you. Thanks for the heads up.

2025-01-16 00:04:45 +0000 UTCI would prefer it broken up otherwise I would need to pause and come back

2025-01-15 23:32:25 +0000 UTCIf you do split, I think it’s helpful for each to be able to somewhat stand alone. Rather split where it makes sense for the subject matter. So for this, maybe pt1 “the early years” pt “the golden age” pt “the new school” or whatever. Dont arbitrarily hold yourself to a set amount of videos or to each being the same length. What makes sense for what you are covering?

2025-01-15 23:09:22 +0000 UTCI'm open to either option.

2025-01-15 22:58:48 +0000 UTCSounds epic! One hour is still a long video so releasing them as weekly episodes would also work imho.

2025-01-15 22:42:58 +0000 UTCPerhaps you can make it a two part series and keep YouTube happy. Somewhere in the middle.
Jaime Villalobos
2025-01-15 22:37:41 +0000 UTCI’d split the video into logical sections that make sense for you. Looking forward to it.

2025-01-15 22:32:31 +0000 UTCSplit the video. I rarely watch a video longer than one hour.
