Yay Chloe is back and Im like...I didn't even notice she was gone cause the show got slightly better when she was not there to second guess and question Clarks every decision. Her return confused me back when the episode aired...I hated it.

If you all listened to the dialogue...Lois say's to Clark about not trusting Chloe anymore "that's been festering underneath all this time, and you never said anything" Meaning the longer she was gone, the more he was questioning her choice. It was explained about why Clark changed his mind...180.

So hostile in the comments LOL! Can’t we all agree to disagree? Everybody has their opinions especially in terms of relationships and their “ships”. Anyways, we all know chloe has done some things that many of us didn’t agree with and she did hide some things from the team/Clark because she wanted to protect them or fix things herself. But that’s the whole point, not every character is perfect in SMALLVILLE..they have faults and they made so really bad decisions that had consequences. Some go in changing for the better and others just spirals down and goes a dark path. There were some flip flop in perspective and opinions on Oliver and Clark’s part about trusting Chloe. You can’t deny the Chlark friendship either and Chloe’s role has upgraded from being the best friend to sidekick to watchtower to now this bad ass Chloe..she is now the one trying to protect even if she has to go off the grid or join suicide squad. As she explained and as we saw, she saw the future through Dr. Fate’s helmet. She made the tough decision to leave them behind to save/protect them. It was a gamble/risk, but it worked out in the end cuz she got them out of that virtual world. There were a few things Chloe have said and done that made me not love her as much as I did before..but i still have lots of love for her regardless of it all. She is Clark’s TRUE FRIEND and now she has learned to love again with Oliver. It’s a new start for her and a different path.
Clois is just so well balanced, just to see them fully trust/believe in each other. To see Clark genuinely smiling and being truly happy after YEARS of heartbreak and deaths. It’s like FINALLY! He found the love of his life with Lois and they’re relationship is growing beautifully every time. It was indeed a SLOW BURN for our CLOIS loving hearts through 6 seasons of seeing the chemistry of CLOIS and always getting some hope, but then the hope being crushed again and again. But Season 8-10 really made experiencing all of that totally WORTH IT. CLOIS IS TRULY THAT ULTIMATE SHIP.. Okay maybe JOHN AND MARTHA as well..I loved their relationship too. ❤️

Agree. All episodes written by genevive sparling focussed too much in Chloe, making her the hero of the episodes and none was in my fav list.
Loved all the Clois though.

This episode was alright but way too much screentime was devoted to Chloe and Oliver, whose relationship has not been well developed in the slightest. The overall plot of this episode was also nonsensical and had a multitude of plot holes. Of course the Clois scenes upgraded the quality of this episode and it was nice to see Lois punch Chloe even if it was not the real one.

Exactly. I've defended Chloe for a while (and still do), and I said in my comment earlier about how Clark did kind of a strange 180 of his opinion on Chloe from earlier, but I do understand why they wrote the episode this way and why Clark (taking the earlier episode out of it) would find it hard to believe her.

Great episode, felt bad for Chloe when she saw Clark didn't trust her but in my opinion I can see why Clark would be hesitant.

I frickin love this episode and I love the message. However, my main gripe with the episode is the complete 180 with Clark and Oliver. When Chloe first left at the start of the season, Oliver was the one who was angry and upset and Clark was the one who was like "she knows what she's doing, we need to treat her as one of us and trust her." But here, their opinions are backwards, with no explanation. Now don't get me wrong, as a Clois and Chlollie fan, I'm glad Oliver was the one to trust her first and Lois was the one to convince Clark. But from an objective writing perspective, it doesn't make sense. Loved the ending a LOT. The flying scene is in my top 10 favorite Clois scenes and the conversation about trust at the end is in my top 5 favorite Chlark scenes. It basically sums up what I've been saying for a while in response to the Chloe backlash.
