I've seen this series a half a dozen times and to this day I STILL can't figure out why Clark x-rayed Slade's head in the first place. Anyone wanna enlighten me? Lol

Awesome on the date part! Hopefully it continues to go well! I love season 10, love how Smallville puts its own spin on characters. I'm an individual that likes to see different interpretations of things, so I don't mind when they change things up but can understand why others would. Personally for me, the best seasons of the show are 8, 9, 10. Don't get me wrong I also love every other season as well but those are my favorite. There wasn't a season I didn't like.

Nit picking over comic accuracy is pretty lame considering there's multiple interpretations of these character over the years. Darkseid pre new 52, is very different to after. Or if Oliver from Smallville or Arrow is more comic accurate, when they both are depending which Green Arrow run you've read. This show is in its own universe (multiverse) and is not required to strictly follow the lore. After 10 seasons think we could be on board with that haha

And Darkseid does corrupt people. He uses Godfrey to corrupt their spirit, Desaad breaks their bodies and Granny builds then back up again(if you're worthy of this process) This is how the Furies are made. If youre weak you're melted down and made a parademon like most humans end up

If you have read the DC lore then how come you are fine with what they told us is suppose to be Darseid. Darkseid is one of the new Gods and is almost physically supirior to Superman not mentioning all of his other devastating powers like the Omega beam which follows the enemy like a homing missle, but look at this rediculous smoke monster they gave us...Doomsday was done better than Darkseid cause Doomsday was actually there and could make Clark bleed when they threw down.

I guess I don't really blame you for being suspicious about Mera. I mean she isn't very familiar with human interaction outside of Arthur and English isn't her first language so that's kind of how I decipher her weird behavior. I admit I haven't seen an adaptation of Mera quite like this (most versions of her are pretty awesome) but they got her powers and backstory down pretty good. Now as for a character this show BUTCHERED, Slade Wilson. I mean I was oblivious the first time around but now, as someone who's been engrossed in the DC lore for quite some time, I don't even recognize this dude. Who is this? What have they done to Deathstroke? He's terrible. Even with the eyepatch if you had shown me this episode on its own and they didn't say his name, Slade Wilson wouldn't be on my list. The ONLY things they got right about him is that he used to be in the army, he's missing an eye, his regenerative powers, he hates heroes, and his daughter's name. That's it. Deathstroke is a frickin badass mercenary for Pete's sake, he doesn't care about the law! All he cares about is his family and money. He doesn't act like Deathstroke, he doesn't talk like Deathstroke, his motivations are all wrong, and Deathstroke is supposed to be a one man army which this guy clearly isn't. Even Darkseid's corruption doesn't explain this interpretation. I know I'm dwelling too much on this but of all the characters that this show didn't do justice, I say Slade tops the list.
