Wow, was going to leave a comment about something but completely forgot what I wanted to say after seeing so many rude comments. I don't think some know the definition of an opinion. I love your reaction, thanks for taking the time to do it. I'm usually watching the series alone so its cool to see someone else watching and enjoying it, it's like I'm watching it with a friend. I realize that made me sound real lonely hahahaha but oh well.

Tess had a rough and sad past, which she mentioned multiple times and even in this episode. She never knew the meaning of LOVE cuz she didn’t have any of that to begin with growing up. There was a time where she bright, go-getter, and creating a good future for herself. But as we saw how Oliver and Tess met in season 8, she was literally kidnapped from that. I think she truly cared and loved Oliver when they did have a relationship. But again was tainted because Oliver was flirting and being the “playboy” that he was back then. Despite saying that Tess wasn’t just some fling, she was MORE THAN THAT to him..she meant something to him. But Tess was already over it at that point and became this “ICE QUEEN” who will only look out for herself. She started following the path of her “mentor” Lex and well that’s how BAD ASS TESS came to be. I know we all have trust issues with Tess, but I still sympathize with her especially last season. She knew she messed everything up. First teaming up with ZOD and having to go against him..checkmate... Oliver basically not trusting her or having no left over feelings/good feelings for her anymore. Near the end of the season 9, Tess was trying to RIGHT her WRONGS, but of course it’s not instant..they can’t completely trust her. She’s going to have to prove it to them and I like that we see Tess’ vulnerable and caring side of her when she’s with Alexander. The scene when Clark and Oliver giving her a chance to be WATCHTOWER is a HUGE STEP. That’s why Tess was shocked, confused, and at the same time touched by their actions. Tess’ coldness and heart is being thawed by Alexander as well as Clark and Oliver wanting her to team up with them. She was always alone and did things for herself, a lonely path. Now she has Alexander and a team counting and putting trust on her. It’s overwhelming, but now she wants to change her path..and finally DO GOOD IN THIS WORLD. For a while everybody didn’t like Lionel..cuz he really was truly a villain. But even Lionel humanized a villain and we felt bad for this at times. EVEN LIONEL can have redemption too and become GOOD. All this time, we felt for Alex and we watched him go from good to VILLAIN. Even those who can start off good can become completely evil. That’s why when Tess came in Season 8 and was just so BAD ASS, I thought she also has story as to why she is like this. We might not get it all at once cuz she is supposed to be this mysterious character. We’re supposed to question her actions and get mad at her for her decisions. But we have seen many sides of her and find out that she’s also having an internal conflict with herself. She does have insecurities that she masks with her bad ass attitude and coldness. I’ve always found Tess an interesting character and she’s one of my fave characters tbh. But again I might just be in a minority here and that’s okay. It’s my opinion and my take on Tess. We all can agree to disagree, but seriously some of you guys are just over the top when there’s a disagreement on things.

Great reaction, Clark finaly told her..also even though Tess has made so many terrible mistakes, you can tell that she's fed up with that and wants a new path. However keeping Alexander a secret kind of goes against this new honest path she wants to walk...I love the scene of her reading to him. can't wait for episode 6, where the dynamic of Lois and Clark has changed and how you react to it.

Honestly, I think that the filler plots this season are way more engaging to watch than the plot that involves the main villain of this season. I feel like the main villain of this season is done incredibly dirty just like how Doomsday was wasted.

AKSHAR PATEL

Not the strongest ep but an amazing ending, even though she already knew Clark told her himself, that’s a big step. Their relationship is one of the strongest things about this season. Tess’ redemption is another plus for this season

London Celt

I’ve been waiting for this reaction, but damn some of these folks overreacting to his opinion of a fictional character. It’s ridiculous, some people need to chill the fuck out.

Clay W

Some of these guys clearly aren't the target audience for reactions lol

Olivia

Hey Dev, please don’t give the headassery some people are exhibiting in these comments any attention. It’s a tv show, I don’t know how people are getting this worked up. Some of y’all need to chill

Two back to back awesome Clois moments at the end of the episode lol

I agree with the gist of your point. I don't know what everyone's problem is. I guess since Tess hasn't been around as long as everyone else (and acted pretty Lex-ish since she showed up), Dev just needs a little time to get used to her being on the team (he will, I know it). The first half of this season is pretty slow but it'll pick up soon. Even as a Chlollie shipper and a Chloe 4.0 advocate, I also agree that Oliver has been giving her a little too much credit. I still don't agree about him being pathetic though. I really liked how engaging and active he's been especially in this episode.

Olivia

Wow people being rude here. That’s not nice. If you have nothing good to say then don’t say a thing. I don’t like this episode that much but that revelation saved it big time. I don’t think this is the best season, for me that was s9, this has a few more episodes with great moments and that’s all for me. The thing here is the plot of the season is not that good, but it has the most memorable moments of the whole serie, like in this episode. Give Tess a chance, she is trying. I like her, but I’ve always liked her, and even Oliver being one of my fav (not not this season anyway) I don’t agree with him here, he is being too hard on Tess, and all that bs about the team having no secrets ... Chloe is the master of secrecy and deceive, so shut up Ollie!! LOL The story line (beside Clark and Clois) I loved the most in this season was Tess and Alexander.

One of the patterns I've noticed is that in general, Marvel tends to have the most outed heroes and DC tends to have the most closeted ones. So even though the closeted lifestyle makes the most sense (and more juicy stories) to me personally, I'm always interested in seeing characters on the DC side come out. So even though it's not necessary per se, this was an interesting move for Oliver's journey. Not trying to pick a fight or anything but I have no idea what Emilia's talking about in terms of Oliver being pathetic. He's more confident in himself now, he still fights for the vigilante cause, his skills are still on point, he still has a sense of humor, him and Clark are spending more time together, and he's learning lessons on his own without Chloe or Clark forcing them on him. Although I have no idea why everyone's trying to compare them and turn it into a competition (and I'm not choosing sides), I always love Ollie and Tess' banter and tension. I may not ship them as a couple anymore but I definitely ship them as plutonic partners. Fun Fact: the ending was the first Clois scene I ever saw of this show (found a compilation of Clark revealing his secret in different shows and movies on YT before I started the show).

Olivia

he watches this with the viewing comprehension of a 5 year old.... what do you expect

Jesus Christ get off Tess' ass. Name one thing she's actually done to hurt any of them. A woman isn't "ice cold" just because she's confident and doesn't take bullshit. Oliver cheated on her multiple times and treated her like shit continuously all last season, but I don't see you on his ass. Oliver is the one who can't ever be trusted. You STILL don't know what she means when she says she's trying to save the world... good lord. Tess is more of a hero than Oliver could ever be, but of course you don't get that because all you pay attention to is how hot girls are while also shitting on them when they aren't nice enough for you. Probably how you treat girls in real life too

You missed the part where Lois was in Africa and she accidentally threw the necklace in her bag.
