However that is only because its correcting the mistakes of previous season. The villian and his ability are both a joke and all of sudden Jor-El has issues with Clark because he almost took a humans life!!. What about the girl that called her self Kara in season 3 who killed the man that was eavesdropping on them and vanished after Jor-El was done with her. The idea also that the villians ability is to control people who have darkness in their heart is laughable.

2020-06-05 14:30:38 +0000 UTCYeah there were some minor details that Dev missed cuz he looked away or talked over it. But godfrey’s fans grew within the 3 weeks that the “darkness” consumed him. Lois was discouraged at first and it may seem Kara steered Lois away even more, but even Kara turned it back on track and said, even heroes need someone to come home to. It is difficult to be a superhero and the balance of being a hero and being normal or being able to have someone special to hold you down. Right now, as confident as Clark is.. Kara is right.. he’s NOT READY. He almost killed cloned Lex and he ALMOST got consumed by the “darkness” had Kara not saved him. As Godfrey said, Clark still doubts himself and is scared to take that step to his destiny. The darkness knows Clark’s darkest feelings as well as fears and that’s NOT GOOD. Especially when you can’t see the “darkness”... it’s not someone you fight physically, it’s a FORCE. That’s even more scarier cuz you don’t know where it is and it can possess you any moment. One little slip of fear or super dark thoughts can trigger this Darkness. Oliver definitely put himself in the center of this whole thing.. basically making himself a target now. I don’t know how this will benefit him in the long run especially when hero haters are growing by the minute thanks to Godfrey/darkness. But yes the next episode! Omg HOMECOMING and it’s the 200th episode! There will be great call backs and EPIC moments as well.

2020-06-05 06:52:38 +0000 UTCYou were looking down at the beginning when it said "three weeks ago" when Godfrey was on the radio and when he was attacked. His rally scene was present day. He gained A LOT more attention in those three weeks.
