Smallville Season 9 Episode 19

Comments

My only idea of how Jimmy could afford the watchtower is that it was run - down and on the market for a long time, I think he did mention that Metropolis had forgotten about it for the most part, and he may have gotten some financial help as well.

Demiurge

I agree.

lol I feel the same...it spoils the next episode's surprise guest..::D

Btw great acting by Callum Blue as Zod when he realized he killed he's unborn child. That scene still gets to me...:D Great reaction

DarkJokester

I hate that Hulu spoilering the next episode for you with that preview pic.

In my opinion I don't buy the whole Tess i want to save the world excuse. She released aliens into the world without warning anyone and later on when she finds out that Clark is the good guy and Zod gets his powers what did she do...Oh yeah she started sleeping with him and telling him about how his people were going behind his back and over to Clark. She only changes sides when it suits her needs, she cant be naive and still believe that what she did actually idnt doom the world to be takenover if not for Clark. Lets forget all that and praise like she's a good guy and always has been....get real.

The thing is, I wouldn't be that annoyed that he's critical of Chloe this season if it weren't for one thing... how long did he defend Lex? Until season 6 (which was long after Lex started doing shady crap) Devlin always tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. He thought Lex deserved to be listened to, he thought Lex deserved to win the election, it took him being proven wrong time and time again for him to finally consider that maybe Lex was beyond saving. But with Chloe, since she first started showing signs of shadiness at the beginning of the season, he's been assuming the worst of everything she's said and done. He assumed that Chloe stole all Oliver's money (even though we saw this episode that he did know about it), he assumes that their relationship is going to end with her dumping on him somehow, and even this episode he took one look she gave as a malicious one. He wasn't this critical about Lex until he finally stepped into unforgivable territory with what he did to Lana. This isnt an attack, he can feel however he wants. I just find it a bit ironic. Also, I don't know if you remember how next episode ends but it should turn the Chloe conversation on it's head (at least a little).

Agreed Akshar. Chloe's arc this season is meant to show her in a negative light.

KevinGrady

That's how I feel he treats Chloe

Frustrating how you still haven't grasped what Tess' motivations are at all. Just complete confusion / misinterpretation, followed by shit talking Tess. Every time she says she's trying to save the world, you roll your eyes and call her delusional/stupid. She's not delusional, you just don't get it. This show is so simple, and yet...

This is something I've never understood, how the hell did Faora get pregnant? The original Faora and Zod couldn't have children, which is why they created Davis. So if these clones are genetically identical to their original selves, shouldnt she be infertile too (we know Zod wasn't because he had a son before)? The only explanation I can think of is that the real Faora (or Zod) had some kind of injury that caused them to be infertile later in life, but they never offer any formal explanation.

Olivia
