Clark so the future and knew those weapons were important. It should have been discussed.

2020-06-02 17:59:48 +0000 UTCShe's not acting like he's an enemy. She knows full well that what happened to Jimmy was her fault too (emphasis on TOO). "Then why is she acting guiltless?" She's not, it's called LEARNING FROM HER MISTAKES. She put her faith in Clark's faith before, and it ended badly. When she says "I don't want Clark's loyalties to lead us into another Doomsday scenario" she's not saying it was all his fault, she's saying she doesn't want him to make the same mistake THEY made before and this time she is taking extra measures to ensure that doesn't happen. You said earlier that she should keep her opinions to herself and just support Clark. That's EXACTLY what lead them into the events of the finale, Chloe supporting Clark's decision to use black kryptonite (that argument doesn't exactly work for when she disagreed with him about the Phantom Zone but Clark himself changed his mind about that and not just because of Chloe).

She's acting as if Clark is the enemy and still there are those that would defend her actions. I wish they killed her off in season 8 instead of Jimmy...atleast he is character thats important to Superman's future. 2

2020-05-20 11:20:51 +0000 UTCrealistically (in real life) everyone would commend chloe. She's secretive because everyone on this show likes be too super high moralled and idealistic while chloe on the other hand is being pragmatic and in fact rational. She knows if she discloses all her little plans to the squad shes gonna have to deal with time consuming and useless feedback. I really love how smallville added that into her character.

Another thing people tend to forget, she's WATCHTOWER, her purpose is to keep an eye on any potential threat to the team or the world and to prepare for it. Plus if she had told Oliver or Clark, especially Clark, that she wanted to gather large amounts of kryptonite weapons as a backup plan they never would have agreed to it.

2020-05-20 07:06:16 +0000 UTCThe thing about Chloe is that I get it, I really get what she is trying to do and not only in this episode but the whole season, though I hardly agree with her methods, she is all about the ending and justify the means, she is so full of herself that she isn’t the Chloe we loved anymore. And yeah she seems to forget she was one of who most screwed it up last season with doomsday’s and she is acting now like she is trying to protect their plan/ “successful ending” from Clark of all people!! Yeah, Devlin, Chloe corrupts Oliver in more than one way, she ruins his character imho.

2020-05-20 03:14:54 +0000 UTCI'm saving my case for Chlollie until it cooks a little longer, but here's what I have to say about this episode. I know Chloe continuing to be controlling and secretive, even from Ollie, isn't exactly helping her reputation amongst the audience here, but I'm honestly surprised how quickly many people forgot a crucial event from Pandora. As the audience, we want to side with Clark in appealing to the Kandorians' personal natures and convince them that they can live on Earth without taking it over. The thing is when you really think about it, Chloe's actually kind of right to be skeptical and cautious. In the alternate future Lois went to, what was her and Clark's saving grace? Chloe and Oliver's kryptonite weapons. Is it safe to assume that even if Clark knew about it, their secret stash might not stay so secret? Even her showing it to Oliver caused Tess to find out about it. If it was Clark she was showing it to, the whole thing would've been compromised. Because even if she was able to convince Clark of her reasoning, there's no way he would've prepared for Tess finding out about it. This episode did a pretty good job of showing that just one other person finding out this secret almost exposed it, and she was lucky it was Oliver because if it had been anyone else it almost definitely would've been exposed. Of course it's not fair to assume that all of the Kandorians would want to take over Earth anyway (Vala doesn't seem to), but Chloe knows all too well that she can't just bank on Clark winning over their good sides. It's a valiant effort but it's a pretty smart idea to have a backup plan in case that terrible Kandorian future does come to pass. Can't wait for next episode though, it's one of my favorites.
