Smallville Season 9 Episode 5 Reaction

Smallville Season 9 Episode 5 Reaction

Comments

As for Chloe in this episode. ... it was a gamble and some things she did were way too dangerous. I know coming back from that kind of depression would be difficult but yes she does tend to do a lot of questionable things in s8 thru 10.

One of my least liked episodes of the season as well.. but I am biased because I watch the show mostly for Clark so when it's not a Clark centric episode i dont tend to care too much for it. I think they do these also to give TW a break and allow him to direct... pretty typical in every show

Katrina. You just can't help yourself with the spoilers can you? smh "This episode is coming and this is in it". Im done with calling you guys out cause it seems like you don't give a sh*t.

Yeahhh Chloe is quite a scary person cuz you don’t know what she’s planning or doing. She’s been tracking the rest of the team, but what she did to Ollie was extreme af! I mean I’m glad it worked, but like you said DAMNNN that shit was dangerous. I mean apparently Chloe can get away with doing this without being scolded about it. I mean Emil found out and talked to her about, but then she somewhat threatened him by questioning his trust in her. Yes Lois is such a forgiving and understanding person. She is a good friend too and that’s what she meant to Ollie, she will always be there for him. They have history and she cares for him, you don’t want someone you care for going in that kind of dark path. So I also understand why she was upset at Clark cuz he did lie to her. But even with a Clark, who stood her up twice and then just lied to her about Ollie. She will forgive Clark cuz she also knows that he also cares for Ollie too. She’s just mature enough to not let those things cloud her judgment of both Clark and Ollie. She really cares a lot for both of them and is her friends.. even though she has feelings for Clark and Clark also has growing feelings too. So she doesn’t stay mad for too long and just moves forward. It’s a good trait and Clark and Ollie are lucky guys! Omg CROSSFIRE is a great episode!! I know you’ll enjoy it so much! Also, just a lot of closure in that episode too!! I can’t wait to see your reaction! Stay safe too!

And this is why I never liked Chloe post S8, that stuff was way too extreme. And the fact that the writers never let her be questioned at all is boring. Hemil is the only one that isn't in the "Chloe is the best thing on earth" train, and that's why I like him. Chloe does whatever she wants and whatever she feels is necessary, and that's the kind of attitude that brought the whole Doomsday fiasco, but she never grew or changed, here she does the same kind of thing, but unlike S8 where people would call her on how misguided this kind of thinking is (like Emil and Oliver did last season) here it's just "aww Chloe you're so smart and kind".

Agreed. It's one of my least favorite of the series. This episode not only bored me to tears, but that entire scheme to help Oliver "find himself" was so uninteresting and bland. There's way too much Oliver focus in this part of the season. There's literally nothing to this "arc" other than one-dimensional depression. I couldn't care less about Oliver. Clark should never be sidelined.

This is my least favorite episode of the first half of the season. I felt like Clark was hardly in the episode and Chloe was too shady in this one for my liking.

OMG the next one is Crossfire!!!!! You WILL enjoy it... a lot!!!

Hope your voice is good for the next one.....you are going to need it........

Yes clark and Oliver need an episode where it isnt dramatic but this episode proves clark doesn't know how to relax

Me too he has definitely become one of my favorite characters

When I saw this episode the first time, I was kind of on the same page of "WTF Chloe, that was a bit exteme." But after about a fourth time post-show, I realize how sweet it was. Chloe didn't have to go through all that elaborate effort to get him back on his feet, hell Clark always means well but he was just gonna leave Ollie to his own devices. Chloe had enough faith in Oliver AND Green Arrow to not give up on him so easily. "You saved me, Chloe. Both the myth and the man." 😊 I gave Arrow a hard time for going too heavy on the Batman comparisons but I think the coffin part was meant to be a reference to when Batman was buried alive in a straightjacket in the comics (or even Justice League: Doom when he was buried in his parents' graves). I HATE comparing Clois to Clana but her little spat with Clark felt a bit like a dramatic Clana scene. "Clark, you lied to me!" I mean I get why she's upset but haven't we seen that enough? There were a few times when I understood why Lana was upset but that doesn't mean that it wasnt tiresome to listen to. I love it when exes can still be good friends. I think it's really cute that Lois and Oliver still get drinks on their birthdays. Clark and Oliver should do that more often.

Olivia

This must the first episode I didn’t like Chloe, what she did to Ollie is so questionable, no matter if her intentions were good, the end doesn’t justify the means. Besides she risked Lois life and she didn’t seem to regretted it that much and just putted all the blame in victoria Sinclair. I don’t like what Chloe is becoming in this season. Lois has right to be angry about ollie’s situation, he is a very important person and one dear friend to her, and also Clark is right what happened wasn’t his to tell but Oliver’s. So I’m with both of them in this. Fortunately Oliver is back on the right path now, I love Ollie, he is in my top 3 favorite character, then I’m happy to have him back.
