Smallville Season 8 Episode 19

Agree. She is THE Lois lane for me. I’m not fond of TH’s Lois, I’m not fond of that entire show really. But SV did it for me, I love all the characters, except for Lana Lang that’s it. Sv has the best Lois lane, lex luthor, the Kent’s, Oliver, Tess and Clark at some extension (the clana bs really hurt him a lot in my book.... finally we are the good part of the road!!) And also other excellent original additions such as Chloe, Davis. She is my generation’s lois lane too.

2020-04-17 14:46:46 +0000 UTCFinally someone gets it lol. As you can see everyone was biting my head off for calling the Stilleto stuff filler. I also wondered how Clark got out of that situation and what excuse he gave.

2020-04-17 14:00:24 +0000 UTCThis was a decent semi- filler episode but what I'd like to have seen is how the scene would have played out after Jimmy called 911 and when the ambulance arrived to take Clark to the hospital for his Ummm, flesh wound. I wonder if Lois got to rush over there to see how he was doing before he got released from the hospital.
2020-04-17 11:43:21 +0000 UTCI respected many actresses who portrayed Lois Lane especially Teri Hatcher’s Lois Lane. BUT... there’s just something about Erica Durance. I literally grew up with Smallville and loved her version of Lois Lane. I’m not sure about everybody else, but to me she was MY GENERATION’S LOIS LANE. ❤️

2020-04-17 07:41:36 +0000 UTCWhat I like about this episode is the way they did the "love triangle between 2 people" and that Clark called Lois "Ms.Lane" and Lois said the iconic "can you read my mind?" line. Such nice callbacks.

2020-04-17 07:24:05 +0000 UTCI feel ya. Davis truly is a tragic character, much MUCH more so than Doomsday was ever meant to be. I know we couldn't see eye to eye on Clana but maybe we can about this.

2020-04-17 06:47:39 +0000 UTCI love these kind of episodes, lighter, funnies and with the amazing Lois in it. Also we have the dynamic trio in action, Lois, Clark and jimmy, so love them! And the best is we had the beginning of the famous triangle of two..... and our clois phonebox, already a classic for the fandom, specially cloisers as myself! And OMG Chloe what are you doing girl!!!! She got caught between a rock and hard place here. And I’m truly sorry for what she had to do tonight, also for jimmy; and I may be in the minority here, but the part of me that likes Davis understands that she’s trying to help him, he doesn’t have anyone else, and gosh he is trying not to be so evil. What can I say ? I feel so sorry for Davis, and his back story is so sad and unfair. Great reaction.

2020-04-17 04:35:19 +0000 UTCI dare say that this is one of the most authentic Superman-Lois relationships we've ever seen in a show (with the exception of maybe Lois & Clark). Most other versions have Lois be in love with Superman, Superman always there to save her, but not much else. Her worth as a reporter is barely focused on. Since this show established her as a straight talking, assertive badass from the beginning, the writers needed to find a way to connect her to her Superman lore roots without breaking that consistentcy. But they also were under contract to not have him in the suit or mention the name Superman, so this was a brilliant way to stay faithful to what Superman and Lois' relationship is without molding her into her traditional stereotype.

2020-04-17 03:12:50 +0000 UTCYou do realize that "filler" doesn't mean bad right? Hex was awesome. I definitely have problems with the finale but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the worst episode. I can think of a few episodes like less than that.

2020-04-17 03:03:47 +0000 UTCAhh yes this episode was also a mood lifter from the previous episode. Yeah Chloe not only lying to Jimmy, but to Clark and Lois as well. She wants to protect them from Davis, but at the same time put herself in a tough predicament. Davis won’t hurt her as long as she stays with him and that’s why Chloe has no choice, but to keep him hidden away. It’s traumatic af for her and she should have told Clark about it, but she lied to him instead. OH CHLOE!! But hey at least we saw some Jimmy in this one. Of course we got some really good Clois moments too! Clark aka The Red and Blue Blur forming a phone relationship with Lois and their heart to heart talk is a stepping stone at this point of the season. It kind of mirrors some parts of the Supes universe in a way that Lois goes after Supes to get her story and falls for him, but is also partners with Clark in the Daily Planet. But in Smallville, Lois started having feeling for Clark first before literally getting saved by The Red and Blue Blur and forming a crush on the hero and holding a grudge on Clark. At the end of the day, Clark = Red and Blue Blur and Red and Blue Blur = Clark. Anyways, there’s 22 episodes in Season 8! So you 3 more episodes left until the finale. It’s going to get more intense obviously cuz there’s 3 more episodes. GET READY!!!

2020-04-17 03:00:49 +0000 UTCIt is most definitely not a filler at all.

2020-04-17 02:42:16 +0000 UTCIt also sets up the RBB and Lois storyline as well.

2020-04-17 02:41:43 +0000 UTCHows is this filler? it continues Jimmy and Chloe's arcs while setting up groundwork for season 9 LOL I might even say this is one of the most important episodes of the season and Yea i loved it.

2020-04-17 02:38:07 +0000 UTCSomeone here likes to keep deciding what is "filler" and what isn't based on what they wanna see... so absurd. You'll hit the finale on Sunday if you don't miss any days, but fair warning, it is a strongly hated finale, and the lowest rated (viewer scores wise) of the whole show. It may very well be the worst episode of the whole show.

2020-04-17 02:25:39 +0000 UTCIf you don't miss a night, you can make the finale on Sunday (or watch 2 episodes on Sunday). Of all the Superman iterations (Lois & Clark is debatable), this show has given Lois the most development and identity outside of Superman's love interest and it definitely shows here. "You're a good reporter all on your own. You don't need a hero or some gimic to make a headline."

2020-04-17 02:20:08 +0000 UTCLois-centric episodes are always great in my opinion. There are 22 episodes this season.
