2020-02-11 08:22:46 +0000 UTCIn practically NO versions of Superman are Clark and Lex "rivals over Lois." Insane. Clark and Lex barely know each other and hardly interact in the comics. Lois also rarely interacts with Lex. Utter insanity. I just... have no words. The Lex/Lois relationship in Jimmy's dream is famously unfulfilled foreshadowing as admitted by the producers, for a Season 7 arc between them (NOT romantic) that they only touched on a little bit and then ditched early on in Season 7.

Superman flying up and catching someone mid-air I can buy, but falling into his arms from that height is like falling on top of a statue. She definitely would've broken something or at least suffered a few bruises. Also in most other versions of Superman, Clark and Lex are rivals over Lois, not Lana. So Lex and Lois in the dream was also a nod to that as well as Noir genre.
