Patreon Update 12/4/17

Hello everyone.

This post is to let everyone know there were additions to the drive during the end of last month, for any who haven't checked in the past week or two. (Honestly can't remember when I last put an image up half the time, days tend to blend together and go by.) 

The time-lapse and source files for the sketches have been added, which also include the colored images that were posted on the drive.

This post is also to inform everyone I've been considering what to do content wise to garner more support. I've been looking at other pages similar to mine and looking at what they do. I found the more successful pages either produced comics, games, animations, or 3d models...sometimes altogether. I feel regardless of whatever "advertising" I may do (essentially bringing notice to my page followed by a link), it won't be enough to get the support I would like. 

I get asked multiple times by individuals "when's the next upload?" "Can you take a request?" "Are you still working or going to finish -piece-?" "Will you do animations?" In all honesty, I wouldn't mind taking free requests or suggestions every now and again, but i'm too busy taking on multiple commissions at once just to barely make it through the month that I don't want to do anything else for anybody. Rarely have I ever done work for myself, which i've been trying to get better at now over the past month or so so I don't burn myself out and lose interest in drawing altogether.

I bring this up because i've come to the realization and decision that things won't progress as they are currently, and adding tiers that have patrons practically purchase a service adding more work to my plate isn't the best way to proceed. This is easily proven by some artist I follow who don't need to resort having high tiers. So i've decided I will start focusing on animation, despite the $500 milestone goal, but as result I will not be finishing the Kusurugi Trio poll piece (the feet tickling image with the 3 OC's). That and the Soul Eater poll image have been sitting in the back of my mind, acting as an anchor keeping my from wanting to pursue anything ambitious and I keep putting it off as the months go by. I will add colors to the Soul Eater image (albeit rough) since the sketch is clean enough to use the fill tool on and look clear, but the Trio is a very rough sketch that needs touching up. I also have no real interest or motivation to continue it (and the one who proposed it has already left). 

The poll this month will have $5 and $10 patrons choosing a previously drawn sketch, like one of the previous months, to be inked and colored. Depending on the sketch that wins, I will hold a second poll (or just have the options there) to choose whether or not you all would like to see the sketch animated. This in turn would mean the sketch may not be colored or inked, and just stay an animated sketch. I will also be revisiting some of the previous animated gifs i've done, cleaning them up and possibly coloring them so I can post them publicly to get some attention.

Sorry for the long post :T If only I could hold a conversation the same way... Looking forward to producing more content this month, and getting back into animation a little more seriously this time around.
