[SL in Marvel] Ch: 8 [Odin's interruption]
Added 2024-08-02 14:06:00 +0000 UTCThe world seemed to shimmer and twist when the Ancient One opened the mirror dimension from a distance without revealing herself. It felt like reality itself was being turned inside out, creating a mirrored version of the world around them. The city's buildings became a complex maze of reflections, and the sky looked like a kaleidoscope. Wanda's protective dome stayed in place, keeping the fight contained in this alternate reality so that no one else would be harmed.
Emma and Linda were amazed and puzzled as the mirror dimension surrounded them. Their environment had changed, but the intense fight between Jason and Sif went on without stopping.
"Blood Seeker, 20%," Jason whispered as his eyes shone with a deep red glow as he pushed his Blood Seeker mode further, which filled him with immense power. His muscles and bones became stronger, and his veins became prominent, appearing as dark lines beneath his skin. His presence was overwhelming, creating a visible force that caused the air around him to sparkle and emit sparks of energy.
Sif, noticing his growing strength, prepared herself.
She clenched her sword tighter and got ready for his next move. "Haaaa!!" Her godly energy shone brightly, and with a loud shout, she charged at Jason, her sword pointed directly at his chest. Jason dodged her attack effortlessly, his body moving so quickly it was almost a blur. He countered with a powerful punch to her stomach, which knocked her back. Sif smashed through a glass building, causing it to break into countless shards.
Sif quickly recovered, her eyes blazing with determination. For a moment, she forgot about killing that man before her eyes. As an Asgardian warrior, she once lived for battle, glory, and honor. But after falling in love with Jason, followed by his disappearance and her own misunderstanding, she fell into a pit of depression and anger. She wanted revenge for her heartbreak. That's why she trained hard for years. She tried to kill her sadness and pain. All the time she spent cursing and hating Jason gave her more motivation to train. She only trained for revenge, forgetting the thrill of combat.
Now, she was feeling it again. She was enjoying this fight. She felt alive once again.
Sif charged at Jason again, swinging her sword in a series of rapid, powerful strikes. Each blow was infused with divine energy, capable of cleaving through anything. But Jason was faster, his reflexes and agility amplified by the Blood Seeker mode. He dodged and parried her attacks effortlessly, his movements almost dance-like in their fluidity. Despite Sif's best efforts, she couldn't land a single hit on him.
Jason's counterattacks were brutal and relentless. He struck her with bone-crushing force, each hit sending shockwaves through the air.
"How about we end this useless fight?" Jason asked Sif with a sigh. He didn't want to kill her, but if she kept up her pointless battle, he might do it accidentally. "You are nowhere at my level even after like what... Six... Seven years? That sword can't cut through my defenses, you should already know that, yet you keep attacking me with it... How foolish. Yeah, if it was that Dragonfang sword you wielded, maybe you could've put some damage on me, but this sword of yours? No chance in hell! So, give up!"
Jason's words stung Sif's pride.
"Useless fight? Give up?" Sif repeated his words as her previous angry face was replaced by a prideful grin. "I know all about that power of yours. You can't use more than 40% of it during the day, right? Is it possible that you are reaching your limit now?" She taunted him.
"Limits huh..." Jason shook his head in amusement. He smiled at Sif as red smoke continued to rise from his body, filling the air with an ominous aura. The stench of blood began to permeate the atmosphere, causing the hairs on Sif's neck to stand up. "Do you really want to see my limits?" His voice was cold and devoid of emotion. A sinister smile formed on his lips, revealing his fangs. "If so, then you should also stop holding back and activate that sword of yours. Come at me with everything you got!"
"Your funeral..." Sif pointed her sword at the sky as the seal on it broke. Divine energy flooded from her sword, surrounding her body in a golden aura. New armor appeared on Sif's body as she swung the sword in the air, sending out a wave of energy.

"What... What is happening?" Emma asked Tony as she gazed upon Sif's transformation.
"Well, this is the first time I've seen her like that... I guess Jason pissed her off enough for her to show it," Tony replied nonchalantly.
Emma could only watch in awe as Sif unleashed her full power. Her golden hair billowed in the wind as she gripped her sword tightly, preparing for another attack. Jason stood opposite her, seemingly unaffected by her newfound strength.
"What's this stench?! Blood?!" Linda covered her nose with her sleeve. The red smoke coming from Jason was getting thicker and more pungent.
The Ancient One finally decided to show herself. She opened a portal and appeared before them. She quickly made a hand sign, creating a golden dome around them. "This should be enough to keep us safe."
"You are... The Ancient One?!" Emma recognized her. She had seen her in movies and comics.
The Ancient One nodded.
"Aren't you powerful? Why don't you stop them?" Emma asked.
The Ancient One smiled. "This fight is between Jason and Sif. Think of it as a lovers' quarrel. We shouldn't interfere unless they try to destroy this city," she explained calmly.
"Lovers?!" Emma exclaimed in surprise. "But that's only a one-sided chase from Sif!"
"Are you sure about that?" The Ancient One chuckled. Emma looked at her questioningly. "I've seen countless futures and peeked into many realities. Both of them are made for each other. It may not look like it, but Jason cares a lot for Sif. It's just that he's hesitant and doesn't know what to do with his own feelings."
"You know a lot, huh?" Emma commented, shifting her focus toward the ongoing fight. "But if you ask me, I'd have had them sit together and explain everything to them without swords and fists involved. But then again, you can see the future, so, I guess, stopping this fight might result in a catastrophe event, huh?!"
"Maybe..." The Ancient One replied with a calm expression.

[Back to Jason and Sif]
Jason's eyes narrowed as he saw the new weapon in her hand. "So, you've finally decided to get serious," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Sif's response was an arrogant smirk. Without a word, she vanished from sight, using her teleportation power to reappear behind Jason. Dragonfang sliced through the air with blinding speed, aimed directly at his neck.
"Wow! That's new!" Jason barely had time to react, ducking just in time to avoid the lethal strike. He could feel the energy radiating from the blade, and he knew this fight had just escalated to a whole new level. Even though he dodged that attack, he could still feel the searing heat from the sword as it passed by his neck. "Holy shit! That's hot!" He muttered.
Sif disappeared from his sight once again, teleporting to his blind spot and attacking with a series of powerful slashes. Jason's eyes widened in surprise as he narrowly avoided each deadly blow. His enhanced senses allowed him to predict her movements, but Sif was just too fast. She was teleporting so fast that her aftermirages were visible in the air.
"What's wrong, Jason? Is that all you got?" Sif taunted him this time as she kept on attacking without giving him any breather.
Jason smirked. He was enjoying this fight more than ever.
[MODE: Blood Seeker 40%] [Blood Shield Enhanced] [Super Strength Enhanced] [Super Speed Enhanced]
Jason's body was enveloped by black smoke as he entered Blood Seeker Mode 40%. It was darker and murkier than the red smoke. "This is how it should have been from the beginning!" He yelled loudly with a sinister grin. "This overwhelming strength... You are the best, Sif! But, it isn't fair to you if I don't respond with the same intensity!" He extended his hand toward her.
Bright sparks of white lightning crackled as a black blade appeared in his hand, its appearance similar to a sword made from pure darkness.
"The Ebony Blade?!" Sif gasped as she recognized the sword in his hand. "Impossible! That sword is supposed to be in Asgard, sealed in a chamber where no one can access it! And it can only be wielded by the impure of heart -- drawing out their negative emotions until they become bloodthirsty berserker."
"Become a bloodthirsty berserker?! Hahahahaha..." Jason began to laugh hysterically, his voice echoing through the mirror dimension. "Who do you think you are talking to, Sif? I am already a bloodthirsty berserker!"
[Mode: Barbarian: 20%] [Skill Berserker 10%]
"ENOUGH!" The mirror dimension shattered as a familiar voice boomed in the sky. Everything seemed to be frozen in time except for Sif, Jason, Wanda, and The Ancient One. A ray of rainbow light shot down from the sky, as an old man in war armor, riding on a war horse, came down and stood before them.
"All Father?!" Sif was surprised to see Odin. Jason, however, remained unfazed. He even tilted his head in amusement.
"Hey, there, old man. You look weaker than the last time I saw you. You doing alright?"
Odin ignored his taunt, looking at Sif seriously. "Sif, go back to Asgard immediately!"
"But!" She tried to protest but was interrupted by Odin.
"SILENCE!"
"Tsk!" Sif clicked her tongue in annoyance and grudgingly teleported away from Midgard.
Odin sighed in relief. "And you..." He turned his attention toward Jason.
"I told you to be careful, but you were like... What does a mortal know about balance? And blah, blah, blah... Sheesh! The Ragnarok is coming, right? You can't maintain the balance anymore. Hella and Surtur are restless and hungry for destruction. Soon, the cycle of Ragnarok will start, and everything you worked so hard for will crumble down, and the universe will turn to dust if someone doesn't do something about that, right?" Jason spoke indifferently as he deactivated his Ebony Blade and Blood Seeker Mode.
"Yes... You were right. I'm reaching my limit. That's why I need your help to fix this mess!"
"No can do, old man. I already have my hands full with other stuff. Do you think I'll come to your rescue every time you fuck up? First, Loki and Frost Giants, and now this shit. I ain't got no time. I have to deal with Mephisto. Have Thor handle it. He is your golden boy, after all."
"Thor... You know very well what you did to him the last time he challenged you," Odin sighed in frustration.
[Flashback] [Asgard]
"All Father says you are stronger than me," Thor said to Jason after challenging him to a duel. "Show me!"

AN: After 1 or 2 more chs, I'll drop some flashback chapters to show what actually happened in the past. And the reason, Odin didn't get angry with him calling him.
