[SL in Marvel] Ch: 7 [Sif vs Jason]
Added 2024-07-22 21:47:08 +0000 UTCBlink opened a portal under everyone's feet and teleported them away from that roof, except Sif and Jason, safely making them land on the ground. Linda and Emma looked around in shock as countless questions flooded their minds. They didn't know what was going on. Everything happened so fast that they failed to process anything. Right now, their focus was on the building miles away from them. The tower was crumbling under the force of their power.
Tony cursed inwardly as he gazed upon that wreckage, 'That idiot... Destroying my tower again.'
Wanda created a barrier around the place to avoid civilian casualties.

Jason blocked Sif's slash with his hand as he smiled at her charmingly. A faint red barrier around him was absorbing all her attack force. "Hey, Sif! Long time no see! How are you doing?" His smile irritated Sif even more.
With a flick of her wrist, she swung her sword again, aiming for Jason's head. However, he simply moved his head away, avoiding her strike easily.
His smirk grew as Sif's sword clashed against his barrier, sending sparks flying. "Is that all you've got, Sif?" he teased, his voice dripping with mockery. "You are too rusty."
Sif's eyes blazed with fury. "You dare mock me, mortal!" she roared, her voice echoing through the wreckage of the tower. She swung her sword in a wide arc, the blade glowing with divine energy. But Jason sidestepped effortlessly, the sword slicing through the air inches from his face.
"Come on, Sif," Jason taunted, "you're not even trying."
Sif's face twisted with rage. That man she hated and cursed for years was standing right before her eyes, yet, she wasn't even close to his level. All the training she did while thinking of ways to kill him was crumbling down. She could feel the insane pressure coming from the man before her eyes, pushing down her.
"I'll wipe that smile off your face!" She thrust her sword forward, aiming for Jason's heart. But Jason caught the blade with his bare hand, the force of the strike dissipating against his Blood Shield. Sif struggled to push the sword further, but it wouldn't budge.
[Blood Seeker 10%] [Super Strength]
"Nice try," Jason said with a wink. With a flick of his wrist, he sent Sif sprawling backward. She tumbled across the rooftop but quickly regained her footing, her eyes never leaving Jason.
"You'll regret that," she hissed, her grip tightening on her sword.
"Maybe," Jason replied nonchalantly, "But I doubt it."
Sif charged at him again, her movements a blur of speed and precision. She unleashed a flurry of strikes, each one more powerful than the last. But Jason easily dodged her attacks, using his super speed and reaction. It was as if he was one step ahead of her, predicting her every move.
"You know," Jason said, dodging another strike, "This is too easy."
Sif gritted her teeth in frustration as she increased her speed even more, her movements becoming faster and more deadly. Jason barely avoided getting hit by the tip of her sword, which grazed his cheek, drawing blood. But the wound healed almost instantly, leaving only a drop of blood. His regeneration speed was insane.
Jason wiped away the trickle of blood with his finger, smiling playfully at Sif. "Now we're talking," he said, wiping off the blood on his shirt. "Bring it on, Sif."
Sif growled in frustration. She swung her sword with all her might, aiming for his head. But he ducked under the blade and moved in close, his face inches from hers.
"Missed me," he whispered, a playful grin on his lips. Red smoke was rising from his body as he continued to fight. With each percentage of Blood Seeker rising, so was his bloodlust and insane physical enhancement. Sif snarled and tried to head-but him, but he easily stepped aside, avoiding her blow. She clenched her fists in anger, her knuckles turning white.
"I waited for you," Sif charged at him again.
This time, she infused her sword with even more divine energy, the blade glowing brighter than ever. She brought the sword down with a thunderous crash, aiming to cleave Jason in two. But he easily blocked the strike with his bare hands, his blood barrier absorbing the impact of the blow. Sif gritted her teeth in frustration as she pushed harder, trying to overpower him. But Jason held firm, his muscles straining under the force of her attack.
"I loved you!"
Sif kicked Jason's stomach, sending him flying backward. But he quickly recovered, landing gracefully on his feet. She lunged at him again, her sword arcing through the air. Jason met her attack head-on, blocking her strike with his bare hands once more.
[Baaam!] A massive wave of energy exploded with a mix of yellow and red light as both attacked each other. The explosion shook the entire city, causing the ground beneath their feet to tremble violently. The tower began to crash down due to the aftershock of their clash. Wanda's barrier held on, hiding the destruction underneath. People outside were oblivious to the battle happening behind the veil of magic.
Sif kicked a bunch of rubbles and chunks of concrete toward Jason, who simply punched them apart. She used that opportunity to charge at him again, swinging her sword in a wide arc. But he easily dodged her attack, moving like water as he avoided her blade.
In that small amount of time in mid-air when Sif missed Jason, he had already closed in on her. He grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the remains of the tower like a ragdoll. She crashed into the concrete wall with a loud thud, causing a massive crater to form. Dust flew everywhere, obscuring their vision for a moment. But Jason used his enhanced senses to locate Sif. He rushed at her and slammed his fist into her chest, sending her crashing through another wall.
Finally, the entire tower collapsed, bringing everything down with it.

Back to the others...
Emma finally gathered her courage and decided to ask a question that had been bothering her since the fight began. She turned toward Tony, "If you don't mind me asking, why is she trying to kill my brother?"
Tony sighed, "Because the day Sif prepared everything to propose to Jason... He ran away, standing her up."
Emma widened her eyes hearing this. Linda couldn't believe what she was hearing either.
"There's more I guess, right?" Emma asked Tony, seeing how he hesitated to speak more about it.
Tony nodded, "Well, later Sif found out that while she was eagerly waiting for him to appear in the Garden of Asgard where she planned to propose to him... Jason was having a little party at Jennifer's house. That numbskull didn't even read the letter that Sif sent him beforehand..." Tony's tone was filled with annoyance. He himself still felt angry remembering that incident.
Sif was so angry back then that she almost destroyed the tower when she came to Tony to ask for Jason's location. Then she found out that Jason hadn't even opened the letter she sent him. Tony thought that the woman would destroy everything in her path back then.
"By that time he disappeared from this reality and Sif did some investigation of her own and let's just say she misunderstood something... She thinks that Jason stood her up for Jennifer Walters that night. But the thing is Jennifer was discharged from hospital, so, he threw a party for her quick recovery. Sif misinterpreted Jason's party as Jennifer stealing Jason from her, or maybe she think he cheated on her," Tony explained everything truthfully as Linda and Emma listened carefully.
"That's some muddled up situation..." Linda commented.
Tony nodded, "That it is. And guess what's more muddled up?"
"No... Don't tell me?!" Linda got a clue from Tony's expression.
"Yup! That knucklehead never noticed her advances. It was one-sided love from Sif. Jason doesn't have the slightest idea about any of it," Tony spoke those words as if he was tired of all this destruction. This was the fourth time, his tower was destroyed.
Linda and Emma could only imagine how dense Jason was.
"So, who's going to stop them?" Emma asked Tony as she watched Jason fighting Sif.
Tony shrugged his shoulders, "No one can. He's your brother, right?"
"Yeah, and...?"
"Well, you are about to see why no one can stop him... Here it comes... Wanda!" Tony shouted.
Wanda nodded and used her powers to create another dome around them. "On it!"
"The civilians!" Prof. X shouted, worried about people outside Wanda's dome.
"Don't worry, professor, they will be fine since the Ancient One has just opened the mirror dimension," She replied to Prof. X's worries. "Within 10 seconds, we will be inside it. No one will get hurt. They can release their anger without worrying about anyone getting hurt." Wanda assured Prof X and others.
"Mirror dimension?" Emma asked Tony in confusion. 'Is it the same one from the movies?!' She wondered.
Tony scratched his head and said, "It's an alternate space similar to our world. The things that happen there won't affect our reality. That's the gist of it. If you want to know more about it, you should ask Stephen Strange. He's the expert on these dimensional things."
As soon as a blast of red energy swept over the area, causing a mini-earthquake, the entire world shifted...
