[SL-Marvel] Ch: 1 [Jason Miller's monotonous life]

Wealthy and independent, Jason Miller is unprepared for the changes that follow his father’s unexpected death. He discovers he has a stepsister, and a stepmother, who are left with no one to rely on but him. As they move into his lavish home, Jason grapples with his feelings of responsibility. However, things took a complete U-TURN when they were summoned into the comic book world of Marvel by a botched summoning experiment. Follow Jason's life as he tries to live as peacefully as possible with his family he never asked for while trying to maintain a low profile because this might not be his first time in this world of Marvel.

AN: Just another wish-fulfillment ff. Don't expect a stable release, since, I don't even have any draft. Got bored and just wrote it on the go. Slow burn. Marvel World will be introduced probably around Ch-5. As for harem, I'll be adding some new girls that I haven't added in any of my ongoing fics. GG<> Oh, and I won't be adding too many OCs.

Timeline: AU

Chapters: This fic will be available for all tiers up to Ch: 20. Then, Gold will get up to 30 chs. Platinum and above will get up to 50 chs. This time, I won't be doing a public release until Ch: 50.

As for Multiverse 2. I gave it a try lol. It's kinda hard. But I still plan to write the first vol after finishing Batman fic's ongoing volume.

[3rd person POV] [Morning] 

Jason Miller was punching a sandbag in the gym inside his big mansion. He was an athletic young man with an athletic build, brown hair, and black eyes. The reason for his exercise at 5:00 AM was a mixture of his body's circadian rhythm and a habit developed while training with a certain someone in a forgotten past life. Although he tries not to think about that life anymore, the habits are hard to get rid of.

Anyway, he went over his morning routine again. And, just like always, it was time for a shower before eating and leaving for his job. A job Jason had built himself by gathering trusted people, establishing connections, and creating businesses. He doesn't have the opportunity to take a leisurely life for granted after going through hell to reach the point where he is right now after leaving home at an early age when his mother got into an accident and his father wasn't even there to support him.

She died after being hospitalized for three days. By the time his dad arrived, she was already gone. It was then that Jason decided to leave his father's house behind because he blamed his dad for not being there when he and his mom needed him the most.

Jason, at present, is one of the biggest movie producers in Hollywood and the owner of a renowned talent agency, as well as the CEO of several other businesses such as a restaurant chain and a travel agency. This allowed him to live comfortably without having to worry about money issues since he managed to achieve financial independence early in his life.

But despite being rich and successful, Jason's personal life is monotonous, with him only focusing on his work and doing little else. That's why today, while Jason was showering, he thought to himself...

'My life is so boring! I don't have any hobbies or a girlfriend either!'

All the girls around him just want to date him because of his fame and fortune. Even though they say they like him for who he is, Jason knows that's not true since he remembers how some girls in high school treated him before becoming popular. Those who call them his friends are two-faced people who only approach him for their own benefit.

As for hobbies? Jason doesn't have any of those either because he spends most of his time working. But recently, after reaching a point where all his businesses ran themselves smoothly, he started thinking about what he could do with all this free time.

'Maybe I should go on a vacation or something...' Jason thought as he finished taking a shower.

He then went to the kitchen to eat breakfast before leaving for work as usual. His maid prepared food for him as always. Luna is her name. She's a 45-year-old single mom. Her husband ran away with another woman, which isn't that uncommon nowadays due to rising divorce rates. As such, she needed a job to support her daughter, who is in college. So, while searching for a job on a site, she found Jason's ad looking for a maid and applied immediately.

Luna ended up getting hired by Jason, who offered a very generous salary along with other benefits such as free housing and medical insurance. It was honestly too good to be true, but Jason assured her that he just wanted someone trustworthy to look after his house and cook meals for him because he leads a busy life. Besides, Luna's references checked out, so Jason had no reason to doubt her. Although he kept an eye on her for a whole year, after that, Jason accepted her completely.

Anyway, after finishing his meal, Jason left the mansion and entered his luxury sports car, which was parked outside. The chauffeur then drove him to his office building, where he works every day. It was just another monotonous slice of life for Jason Miller...

"Hey, boss! You're late!" said one of his employees when he arrived at work.

It's 9:00 AM.

"Ah! You are the new guy, huh?! I heard you are going around trying to be a charmer and hitting on every lady employee in the building. Plus, instead of doing your own work, you've been pushing them to your juniors. And right now, what did you say, 'Hey, boss! You're late!'? Who the fuck do you think you are to talk to me in that arrogant tone? You are fired. Gather your belongings and leave within five minutes," Jason replied coldly.

The employee stared at him dumbfoundedly before asking, "W-Why?! I was just joking around!"

"I'm not," Jason replied bluntly.

Jason hates lazy assholes like this dude who think they can do whatever they want just because they think they are funny and takes work as a joke. Unfortunately for him, Jason Miller isn't the type of person who would tolerate such behavior from others, especially when it affects his company's productivity negatively.

"But..." The employee tried to protest again but stopped when he saw Jason glaring at him with a stern expression on his face.

After sighing loudly, Jason continued speaking with a serious voice tone, "Look here, buddy. You just wasted my precious time. And in this world time is money. Get your things, get out of here. I don't care about your excuses, I don't care about your situation, and I don't care about you. You had an opportunity to work and make money, but you decided to joke around, disturbing my employees and even dumping your work on your juniors instead of doing it yourself. So now you got fired. That's all there is to it."

Jason then turned around and walked away without even waiting for an answer from his former employee. He was already late because of that asshole, so he didn't have time to deal with some lowlife like him anymore.

Meanwhile, the fired employee just stood there staring blankly at Jason's back until he disappeared from sight before slowly gathering his stuff from his desk and leaving the building with tears streaming down his face. He couldn't believe what just happened to him. One minute he was joking and flirting around with his coworkers, and the next thing he knew he got fired by his boss for being a lazy ass who dumped his work on others.

Jason Miller is known for being strict with his employees and firing people who mess up too often without giving second chances unless there's a valid reason behind their actions. However, nobody dared speak up against him because they were afraid of getting fired themselves. Instead, they just watched silently as he walked past them without saying anything else to anyone else.

He went to his office as usual and slumped down on his chair with a heavy sigh escaping his lips while pinching his temples lightly to relieve some stress built up in his head due to dealing with idiots earlier today. There were a couple of files that needed to be signed today. So, without wasting any more time, he began to read each and every document carefully before signing them.

Meanwhile, outside his office, everyone whispered among themselves about the incident earlier today. Some said it was unfair for Jason Miller to fire an employee just because they made jokes and flirted around, while others claimed it was justified because he messed up big time.

"Just because he had a pretty face doesn't mean he can touch us and flirt around like a playboy," one female employee complained loudly.

"Yeah! If we let guys like him get away with such behavior, then how will our reputation remain intact?" another one added.

"Hmph! Those kinds of men only know how to fool around anyway. They never take work seriously."

"Exactly! They just come here to show off their looks and charm women into sleeping with them before leaving after getting bored with them," yet another woman chimed in.

"You all are just jealous because he didn't pay attention to you, unlike us."

"Hah! Jealous? Why would we be jealous of such scumbags? Besides, he dumped all his work on us while he flirted with you pros," one girl retorted sarcastically.

"Shut up! He was only interested in us because of our good looks. Otherwise, he wouldn't even spare a glance at you ugly bitches!"

"Ugly?!"

Soon, an argument broke out between these two groups of employees. Jason couldn't help but shake his head at such childish behavior and ignored them completely before returning to focus on reading documents again.

It's 12:00 PM now.

Suddenly, his phone began to vibrate. A call from an unknown number.

"Hello?" Jason answered it without hesitation.

"Hello, Mr. Miller? My name is Carlos Rodriguez, a lawyer from JJ Law Firm," the person on the other end introduced himself politely.

Jason frowned slightly upon hearing the name because he didn't recognize it whatsoever. But he remained calm and continued listening attentively nonetheless.

"I'm sorry to inform you but your father, Charles Miller, has passed away due to cardiac arrest," Carlos informed Jason solemnly.
