2024-07-17 03:10:49 +0000 UTCSo happy that you enjoyed this, I was worried with how you'd take the anime tropes. Can't wait to rewatch this with you! I last watched this FMAB a decade ago!

2024-07-16 15:21:06 +0000 UTCI feel the same the dub is still really good but the sub voice actors just hit harder

2024-07-16 08:46:29 +0000 UTCThe japanese version is still much better it def does have one of the best dubs out there but the best dub is still just on par with the sub

2024-07-16 08:46:00 +0000 UTCPlease don't do dub, the original is so much better

2024-07-16 05:54:35 +0000 UTCanother recommendation for the dub. one of the best there is.

2024-07-15 22:38:28 +0000 UTCI think you should go with dub on this one and i am saying this as a massive dub hater, but the dub for this show is immaculate, it's the only anime that i have watched fully dubbed.

2024-07-15 21:07:14 +0000 UTCIf you have no problem with this anime’s comedy you are gonna love this show as that’s the only thing I would have been a little concerned you may not like.. gonna be a great journey

2024-07-15 21:06:02 +0000 UTCAs a well traveled old anime nerd I will say this is one of those one in million times that the dub voice acting is genuinely better, at least in my opinion for whatever its worth... Regardless the show is killer cant wait to see what ya think

2024-07-15 21:04:27 +0000 UTCBased off your initial impression, I think you’ll throughly enjoy this show. Everytime you think this show has peaked it’ll go up a level. Excited to join you along this journey!

2024-07-15 20:28:46 +0000 UTCNot completely but the endings are different it was made before the manga was done so they had tk make stuff up , and this version is shorter and cuts out the fat

2024-07-15 19:57:50 +0000 UTCSo the original FMA was being released along side the Manga and instead of waiting for the Manga to get further ahead they created their own material and ending. FMAB is widely regarded as the better of the two shows (go figure its the real authors actual creation) and like Anthony said, this first episode is a bit all over the place but by episode 2 and 3 you will be caught up on how the world operates.

2024-07-15 19:25:17 +0000 UTCYup exactly! They both hit the tone and animation just a little differently, but you wouldn't feel too jarred except with some major plot differences with the difference in tone. Brotherhood is more universally well liked, because it doesn't include a lot of "filler" and has a much faster pace that is imo a little bit more enjoyable. But the original still has some absolutely amazing scores, animation, and direction especially.

2024-07-15 19:21:36 +0000 UTCah that makes sense- so the original FMA anime is just a different interpretation of the material?

2024-07-15 19:10:21 +0000 UTCTotally. I am a child of the 80s so I grew up on all the classics (which were basically just toy commercials lol) and I like the energy of this show. I am actually here for something fun and energetic, I do think that going back in time a lil bit is a good idea for me.

2024-07-15 19:09:41 +0000 UTCSo this first episode is kind of all over the place and just throws you into the world right away on purpose brotherhood is a remake that is more truthful to the manga so the creators kinda assumed everyone seen the original and didnt want to waste the first episode on telling you what you might already know instead start off the new show with cool fights it explains better the world in episode 2

2024-07-15 16:44:32 +0000 UTCHere is a fun fact! Something that I never realized when watching this anime is that Fuhrer Bradley's first name is actually King, so when they call him Fuhrer King Bradley, king isn't his title, they are just saying his full name.

2024-07-15 16:27:41 +0000 UTCI think Saturday morning cartoons is the perfect way of looking at it. It gets more serious as the show continues, but theres definitely a good amount of light heartedness and silly jokes (like Ed being short) but I think if you can accept that you’ll have a good time with the show! (Plus no weird stuff like in CSM lol) Im looking forward to this one(:
