if you ever, for whatever reason, came back to watch this show, then you’d see it in a whole new light. i made the same mistake as making JJK one of my first anime’s as well. it was a bit too silly for me but i still fell in love. now anytime i go back i just admire it and can’t help but think of it as one of the best shows i’ve ever seen. it will definitely be worth it even if you never decide to revisit the first season.

My friends. We are so close to spoiler moments we’ve all been waiting for here in season 1 🔥👍 great reaction as always Jon. I know this show hasn’t really been the standout right away that you probably expected, but you’re right there with the show and honestly you’re understanding about as much as anybody really can on first watch without reading the manga first. This show is fire, but I’ve read it and watched it about 5 times in total so the details hit harder for us experienced fans. I think unlike some other shows we just can’t exactly pop off at how excited we are about those details without spoiling other things. we appreciate the fire content as always!

I think you'd like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. The power system is very straight forward and doesn't have a million different moving parts. The main objective is simple but leads to a lot of different paths, as it should be. Amazing storytelling and characters. You've probably been recommended it before tho, since it's one of those most-watch animes and number 1 on a lot of lists.

You mentioned you're looking forward to a point where you understand all the abilities/characters. As a manga reader, that point never arrives haha. As you find one thing out, 2 more things get introduced that are confusing so I think it's best to just be comfortable with the feeling of not knowing. The pause you had in this episode telling yourself to slow down was perfect, it's these small reveals that make the show fun to watch and appreciate the action scenes when you know the backstories of the participants but there's never going to be a point where everything is revealed because then the show would be finished :) great reaction
