2023-07-04 22:05:48 +0000 UTCOh and just so you know, the reason the anime is so jumpy tonally and a little bit with the plot is because the original medium it was published in (the manga) is pretty competitive. And so it was a weekly comic and modern writers in these fields have to keep their stories punchy and fast. So first episodes have to shit out a bunch of information quickly to fit the weekly published format. Its a bit more nuanced than that, but thats the simple summary. This wasnt really the case back when Dragon Ball Z and Naruto etc were being published.
