Ch: 11 [The invisible world]

Jack sat back in the attic, reflecting on his conversation with Sara. He was relieved that he had been able to reassure her about their connection and the upcoming adventure at Hogwarts. But he couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness as well. He knew that leaving Sara behind while he attended Hogwarts would be difficult for both of them.

As he waited for Sara to wake up from her nap, Jack found himself lost in thought. He wondered how they would manage being apart for long periods of time. The mirror and the locket were comforting symbols of their connection, but they couldn't replace the joy of being physically together.

Just as Jack was contemplating how to navigate the challenges ahead, Jax spoke up, breaking the silence in the attic.

"Master Jack, I understand your concern for young miss Sara," Jax said, his voice filled with wisdom. "Leaving loved ones behind is never easy, especially for someone as young as her. But remember, Hogwarts is not just a place of learning; it's also a place where friendships are forged, and bonds are strengthened. One day, Sara will also have the opportunity to make new friends, explore her own magical abilities, and create her own magical experiences."

Jack nodded, absorbing Jax's words. He knew Jax was right. Sara would have her own adventures and experiences at Hogwarts. But that didn't make the separation any easier.

"I just worry about her," Jack confessed, his voice filled with genuine concern. "She's so young, and I've always been there for her. How will she cope without me?"

Jax walked over to Jack and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You have been a guiding light in her life, Master Jack, and that will never change. But part of growing up is learning to navigate the world independently, to face challenges and discover one's own strengths. And she will always have the mirror, the locket and me to guide her."

Jack took a deep breath, finding comfort in Jax's words. He realized that Sara was stronger than he sometimes gave her credit for. He realized that Sara was growing up and that she possessed her own resilience and inner strength. He couldn't protect her from every challenge that lies ahead.

Jack took Jax's words to heart, understanding that it was time to let Sara explore the world on her own, even if it meant they would be physically apart. He knew that she would face challenges and overcome them, just as he had done throughout his own journey.

He stayed there looking outside through the small window in the attic. There are so many mystical creatures around the orphanage, but sadly, only he and Jax are the only ones who could see them.

As Jack gazed out of the small window in the attic, his eyes were drawn to the enchanting world beyond. The sun had started its descent towards the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the sprawling landscape. The orphanage, with its aged brick walls and ivy-covered windows, stood as a backdrop to the magical scene unfolding before him.

In the distance, he could see a group of thestrals gracefully gliding through the air, their wings spanning wide as they soared with an ethereal grace. Their skeletal bodies seemed to blend seamlessly with the dusky sky, making them appear almost invisible to those who couldn't perceive their presence. Jack marveled at their beauty, knowing that they were creatures of both mystery and wisdom.

Nearby, a group of mischievous pixies darted between the trees, their laughter tinkling through the air like tiny bells. They played their playful pranks, causing flowers to bloom unexpectedly or tickling the leaves of unsuspecting passersby. Jack couldn't help but smile at their antics, remembering the time he and Sara had spent chasing after them, giggling with pure delight.

As Jack observed the magical creatures outside, his gaze shifted towards the edge of the orphanage grounds. There, he spotted Mike, one of the older boys, engrossed in his daily exercise routine. Mike was known for his dedication to physical fitness, always striving to maintain his strength and endurance.

However, unbeknownst to Mike, the mischievous pixies had taken notice of his routine. With mischievous grins on their tiny faces, they swooped down from the treetops and began their playful antics. One pixie tugged at Mike's shoelaces, causing him to stumble mid-jump. Another giggled as it tugged at his shirt, pulling it askew. The pixies darted around him, disrupting his carefully timed exercises and leaving Mike visibly confused.

Mike's frustration grew as the pranks persisted. He couldn't understand why his usually precise routine was suddenly falling apart. His brow furrowed, and he shook his head in an attempt to clear his confusion. But the pixies, reveling in their mischief, continued to toy with him.

Amidst the chaos, Mike's thirst got the better of him. He reached for a bottle of his specially concocted health drink, believing it would refresh and refuel him. Little did he know that the pixies had seized this opportunity to add a touch of their own mischief.

As Mike took a swig from the bottle, expecting the revitalizing taste of his healthy blend, he immediately spat it out, his face contorting in disgust.

"Who added sugar in my healthy drink?" Mike exclaimed, his voice a mix of astonishment and annoyance. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, clearly displeased by the unexpected taste.

The mischievous pixies erupted into a chorus of gleeful laughter, their tiny voices echoing through the air. They had succeeded in their prank, turning Mike's usually disciplined routine into a playful and bewildering spectacle.

Jack couldn't help but chuckle at the scene, knowing all too well the mischievous nature of the pixies. Their pranks were harmless but always managed to inject a sense of lightheartedness into the lives of those around them.

After a while, Jack stood up from his spot in the attic and made his way down the creaky stairs. It was his turn today to sweep and clean the orphanage, a duty that rotated among the older children. As he descended, he couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. He had spent countless hours exploring the nooks and crannies of this old building, seeking solace and adventure within its walls.

"I am going to miss this," Jack mumbled to himself.

"You going somewhere?" A familiar voice came from behind.

Startled, Jack turned around to find Lily standing at the foot of the stairs, her eyes wide with curiosity.

Jack's heart skipped a beat as he saw Lily standing there, her fiery red hair framing her face. Lily was a fellow orphan who had been living at the orphanage for as long as Jack could remember. She was known for her strong-willed and sometimes feisty nature, which earned her the nickname "Tsundere" among the other children.

"Hey, Tsun... Hum-humf... I mean, Lily," Jack greeted her with a small smile.
