Ch: 10 [Convincing Sara]

Jack smiled warmly at Sara, recognizing her curiosity and the need to reassure her. He held up the shiny mirror, its surface reflecting a glimmering image of the attic.

"It's a special mirror, Sara," Jack explained, his voice gentle and comforting. "See, this is a two-way mirror. I have one just like it. And no matter where we are, we can use these mirrors to talk to each other, just like magic!"

Sara's eyes widened with wonder as she peered at the mirror, her curiosity piqued. She had never seen anything like it before.

"Really, Jack?" she asked, her voice filled with hope. "We can talk to each other through the mirror? Even when you're far away?"

Jack nodded, a reassuring smile on his face. "That's right, Sara. It's called a two-way mirror because it lets us communicate both ways. Whenever you want to talk to me, all you have to do is look into the mirror and say my name. And I'll do the same. It's like having a piece of magic that keeps us connected, no matter where we are."

Sara's worry began to dissipate as she listened to Jack's explanation. The idea of being able to talk to her best friend... her brother even when he was far away, filled her with a sense of comfort.

"But, Jack," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of concern, "what if I don't know what to say or do? What if I miss you too much? What if I had a bad dream?"

Jack gently reached out and touched the locket around Sara's neck, drawing her attention to it. Sara's eyes widened as she noticed the delicate piece of jewelry that she had been wearing all along.

"See this locket, Sara?" Jack said, his voice soothing. "Jax gave it to you. It's a special locket that can keep you safe and bring you comfort when I'm not around. Whenever you miss me or have a bad dream, just hold onto it and think of me. I'll be right there with you in your heart."

Sara's eyes glistened with a mixture of curiosity and comfort as she looked down at the locket, her small hand instinctively reaching up to hold it.

"So, even if I can't see you, you'll be with me?" she asked, her voice filled with a hopeful innocence.

Jack nodded, his smile tender and reassuring. "Yes, Sara. Even if we're not physically together, we'll always be connected. Remember, you have Jax and the locket to watch over you, and I'll have the mirror to talk to you and make sure you're safe and happy."

Sara's young heart felt a sense of relief wash over her as Jack explained the special mirror and the comforting presence of the locket. She clutched the locket tightly in her hand, feeling its cool surface against her palm.

"Okay, Jack," she said, her voice still tinged with a hint of worry, "I'll hold onto the locket and talk to you through the mirror. But promise me you'll come back, okay? Promise me you won't forget about me."

Jack's eyes softened with affection as he reached out and gently touched Sara's cheek. "I promise, Sara," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I could never forget about you. You're my best friend, my little sister, and I'll always come back to you. Hogwarts is a magical place, but you'll always be in my thoughts and my heart."

"That's right, young miss. Besides, you will also be attending the same school as Jack very soon," Jax said with a warm smile.

Sara's eyes widened with surprise at Jax's words. Attending the same school as Jack? The idea filled her with a mix of excitement and anticipation.

"Really, Jax?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a childlike wonder. "I can go to Hogwarts too? Just like Jack?"

Jax nodded, his eyes twinkling with delight. "Yes, indeed, young miss. You have a special spark of magic within you, and soon you'll embark on your own magical journey at Hogwarts. You'll learn all about spells, potions, and the wonders of the wizarding world. And in Jack's absence, I will teach you magic as promised."

Sara's heart raced with excitement, and she clapped her hands in glee. The thought of attending a magical school like Hogwarts and learning spells made her imagination soar.

Sara's eyes widened with wonder and her smile stretched from ear to ear. The thought of attending Hogwarts, just like Jack, filled her with a sense of adventure and limitless possibilities.

"I can't wait, Jax!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with bubbling excitement. "Learning magic and going on adventures with Jack and you at Hogwarts... It sounds like the most amazing thing ever!"

Jax chuckled softly, his eyes crinkling with amusement at Sara's infectious enthusiasm. "Oh, it truly is, young miss. Hogwarts is a place where dreams come true and friendships are forged. You'll meet extraordinary people and discover the wonders of the magical world."

Sara's mind buzzed with questions and anticipation. She couldn't wait to step into the halls of Hogwarts, to learn spells, brew potions, and uncover the secrets of magic.

After their conversation, Jack, Jax, and Sara continued to chat and share stories until lunchtime. They laughed and played games, filling the attic with their joyful voices. Sara's excitement about attending Hogwarts grew with each passing minute, and she bombarded Jack and Jax with questions about the magical school.

They ate lunch in the attic while talking about magic.

As the sun reached its peak in the sky, Sara's eyelids started to droop. Her energy began to wane, and she yawned sleepily.

"I think it's time for your nap, Sara," Jack said, noticing her drowsiness. "You need to rest so that you'll have plenty of energy for all the magical adventures that await you."

Sara nodded, rubbing her eyes with her tiny fists. "Okay, Jack. I'll take a nap now. But don't forget to wake me up in time for dinner!"

Jack chuckled and ruffled her hair affectionately. "I promise, Sara. I'll make sure you're awake for dinner."

Sara smiled and made her way to her room.

"Well, that went better than I expected," Jack said.
