Ch: 1 [Jack and Jax]

Jack's life at the orphanage had always been a lonely one. As long as he could remember, he had felt like an outsider, never quite fitting in with the other kids. He was a quiet, introverted boy who preferred spending his time lost in books and daydreaming about fantastical adventures.

But Jack had a secret, one that he had carefully guarded for fear of being labeled as strange or crazy. He had the ability to see supernatural things that others couldn't. Among the supernatural beings that Jack had encountered, one stood out—a creature he had named Jax. Jax was a household elf, a diminutive creature with large ears and a mischievous grin. Jax had revealed himself to Jack one day, appearing out of thin air with a twinkle in his eye. He had explained that he was bound to serve the family that had lived in the orphanage long ago and had taken a liking to Jack, offering his friendship and guidance.

Jack's eyes widened, a glimmer of excitement in them. "Magic? Are you saying... there's a chance I could be a part of that world?"

Jax grinned mischievously, revealing a row of tiny, pointed teeth. "Perhaps, young master, perhaps. But the path to such a world is not an easy one. It requires courage, determination, and a dash of mischief."

Jack's heart raced with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation. "And what do I need to do, Jax? How do I find this world of magic?"
