Update 01.20.2020 - Thank you, Goal Updates, What's Next

Hello everybody! This Patreon has grown in a crazy way over the past couple of months, and I wanna give a thank you to everyone who's given my content a chance enough to support me financially. Thank you. This is all very, very exciting to me. I went from a TK17 artist who spliced together animations, models, scenes and speech bubbles to a full-blown 3D artist, and it all happened while this Patreon existed. Some of you have even stuck with me for several years, believing in me and being willing to stick through me becoming a better artist and being able to make better content. That's amazing.

This has been the biggest freelance project of my life, and the hardest one by far. Learning how to improve, have a good work schedule, an efficient work flow, and manage my time and mental health and get a grasp of all things in a balance has been a great effort. I'm not perfect at it, but it's becoming more and more clear how it's done every day. I think the most unexpected lesson has  been that working all the time became hardly working, and giving myself more breaks and empathy has made me do a much better job. 

Patreon Goal Updates

We are alarmingly close to the $1000 goal, and I say alarmingly because I have some qualms about the goal itself. I set this goal several years ago, and since the Patreon has never before gotten even close, I've mostly forgotten and ignored it. 

So here's how I see things now. As far as render farms go, since I am working in Eevee for any long animations, it won't be necessary. 

The voice acting thing is a difficult one, and it upsets me that I have to say this because it will sound harsh. But from all the years of watching animated porn, I've found a specific phenomenon: porn voice actors aren't very good. I believe the reason is because all of the voice actors who take their job seriously would not touch the adult industry with a ten-foot pole. As soon as your voice is out there, your reputation and ability to network and get anywhere outside of this industry is in huge jeopardy, and you've potentially ruined your chances. 

This doesn't mean that by default you are incompetent, because some people are truly only interested in the adult industry. However I have never come across porn voice acting that did nothing but completely turn me off, and I have watched a lot of porn. I know you might not agree, but I can't see a way in which I would be happy with the kind of voice acting I would probably receive. 

So, that's a much more difficult one. I understand a lot of people like voice acting more than text on the screen for obvious reasons, yet I am consistently aversed. Tell me what you think of this, I am interested.

What am I making next? Glad you asked, you over there who I'm pointing at. The premise of  a video I'm currently making is that Laurene comes home from a party a little drunk, and has some fun with herself. (She's also wearing a sparkly red dress)

I have a bunch of ideas that I'm trying to figure out how to turn into videos. I know I've said I want to work on shorter videos, but to be quite honest it does feel like a waste to use an idea and a scene for something too short. There are several locations and outfits and script ideas that are fun, and I'm just trying to find the right fit.

I've finished another updated version of Ashley, and I even made a gym outfit for her since that girl likes to LIFT. This might be an opportune time to make a biography of her.

I posted WIPs of Laurene getting a 'professional photo shoot' done, and I'm very happy with how good they look. There is also one of her in a bathrobe, and having a bath. I've made a lot of outfits that inspire videos!

So, a lot of things are ready to be turned into content, which is very exciting. As always if you have any comments or questions, leave them below. I might even remember to answer them, who knows.
