Professionally, I deal with the topics of company orientation and customer focus. So I understand your train of thought very well. The problem I see is that you have expanded your business model in an unfavorable way. I summarize your business model as I see it. You offer digital art and use Patreon as a platform for sales, which saves you a lot of work, but also demands a percentage. You have balanced and secured your individual levels well, with people only getting the reward for the month they paid for. Gumroad: You use another platform to keep your older works alive and sell them. A very good addition, but not really used. I see clear potential for improvement here. With other artists it is possible to buy old monthly rewords. I have been a loyal supporter since 2020. But would also like to buy the missed months afterwards. I think the $ 15 extension with the addition of an old picture is awesome, but it's not the same as old $ 15 rewards. Offer to buy again! Redbubble: I have no idea if it really works like that - I can't imagine it. Here I would rather go for something valuable like your pictures printed out on canvas. In addition the possibility to buy the canvas with signature. That would have something. YouTube: I used to do something myself with PhotoShop and would therefore not classify your videos as teaching material. But it doesn't have to be. I think it's awesome to see how a picture of you is created. That was one of your BEST decisions. Build it up further. This way, potential "customers" will notice you and you have some new patrons. Little effort, very large use - expand. Commission: I see that as your real second mainstay. Patreon is your "daily business" and gives you hold. With YouTube and other activities you get new patrons, which in turn creates commissions. Therefore, put yourself in the shoes of your Patreons and try to expand that. The rest will come with time. I know, it's just that I like collecting what little beauty this world has to offer (I'm just talking persuasively xD), this "would" be available to anyone who has the funds to bid and... I'm poor as a - what's lower than a rat? - cricket, hahaha. If I were rich, I'd be greedy and have you paint me a thousand and one private commissions (so I could choose the topic and feel special), then allow you to share them on Patreon, haha. Culture needs to be free!! But that's just my utopia** That said, you didn't need to explain, I know enough about the struggles of selling art and this is a much better way than NFTs, for sure 🌱

You're a great artist and as your patreon it makes me happy to see your art is supporting you financially through auctions, Patreon or whatever means you have :D You might wanna have a look at the auction model for adoptables on Deviantart, it might suit your auction as well. In that way everyone will be able to see a watermarked version of your art, the winner of the auction will then receive the file without watermark. Honestly it’s really great that you try other alternatives to Patreon. Your art is amazing and you definitely deserve to make profit from it ( even if it’s not mainly about that ).

Yes, dont worry Nixeu i understand it very well, i was not trying to be negative about the auction, quite the opposite! :) I was more trying to remind others why they should not worry about it. I can assure you that I will never leave Patreon, because it's the model that I like the most and where I feel the support of my followers (unless a new platform appears with better options for everyone) or that the quality of my content will lower because I make an auction. I can perfectly understand what you can feel, but I hope you can understand my point, this is like a personal work to a buyer using my free time, in fact it is worse, because nobody assures me that my drawing will be sold for a fair price. Many of you are assuming that I am going to make a lot of money with this, when the bid starts at $1 and I am not someone especially famous, I honestly believe that only a few will bid and that my drawing will sell for $50 haha Anyway, I want you to know that I'm glad that you are honest with me, so I can take your opinion in mind for the future.

I Get the critiques but i also gotta admit, the thought that every piece of art has to be available, just because i pay 15$ a month (or less) is kind of naive. The quality of art we get for this tiny price is already astounding, and i feel like we really have no ground to demand "more". Am i sad that i wont get to see the auctioning piece? Yeah, sure. Does it impact my live in any way shape or form? No. Not in the slightest. But it gives you the ability to try something new _and_ potentially make bank with it. Of course others might see the risk that you'll start to Quit patreon and only do auctions after this because its more lucrative, and i cant blame them for that. But even then, its your decision and we dont support you for "the future content" we might get, we support you this month for what we get this month. So we have no ground to demand anything further then that. The entitlement to expect you to deliver forevermore for the same small pricetag is not ok IMO. :) Happy Auctioning! :D

Just as I decided that learning from me would be partially free through my YouTube channel, creating new opportunities than Patreon is another personal decision. This isn't about greed, no one guarantees me that Patreon will be available forever, so it's good to try to diversify my content and create new ways of selling, as Gumroad, Redbubble, private commissions and collections here on tier $15. This doesn't mean that I will do it often, because Patreon takes up 90% of my time, and that's the point, it's something that I do as an extra work, as I have explained to Anthaliel before. I also don't really expect this bid to reach anything big, it's even more of a test than anything else, so don't take it too seriously. Anyway, I wanted to explain it because I want to show you that there really is nothing wrong with it.

I understand your point but it's a drawing that will only exist for this purpose, otherwise it wouldn't exist, so you don't really lose anything. It’s like when I make private commissions that no one else can see or my tier $15 with a collection that only my supporters of that one can see. So please don't be sad for this :)

You build a good foundation on Patreon. Your YouTube channel in particular brings you awareness and new supporters. On the subject of auctioning: If it were a charitable cause and you auctioned 1-2 pictures a year, nobody would complain. rather, people would certainly bid here. The way it looks here, it will certainly not go down well with your supporters. I think you will lose people with it.
