JakaBrick - MCU Age of Ultron Black Widow

This is a fig I’ve been hunting for a while! Originally listed for preorder back in December 2022, then completed production by February 2023! I had initially passed on it for some reason (porbably because I was focused in on Spiderverse stuff at the time, idk)

But it was only until rather recently when JinCustoms started producing their MCU Hulk figs that had I developed an interest in more mainline MCU heroes. Particularly how for some reason I had managed to skip over basically all the Black Widow variants at the time!

But here I am catching up today! And in today’s fast paced world of custom minifig collecting, this fig is no spring chicken! But it holds up well!

From a design point of view, the subtle texture work, and costume detailing's are all nice, but that hair is what seals the deal! Good quality stuff from Jaka, even from a few years back!

We’ve taken a look at a lot of different Black Widow’s on the page, and I always struggle to articulate reviews for them. Mostly due to how her visual look hardly changing from comic to film and such. The devil’s in the details, and frankly Jaka nailed those details!

I think if I was to nitpick, I’d wish those details were a little more exaggerated or cartoonish to match the “Lego Style” we’re all familiar with. Most notably with line thicknesses.

The light blue piping could have been thicker for sure! Some of the hyper details on the legs could have been also been reduced in favor of that cartoonier concept as well. Like the knee pads for example, they just look a little crowded.

Outside of that, the batons are neat, but one of mine is a bit deformed at the handle. So much so, that to a point where I could probably try and jam it into a minifig hand if I wanted to risk scraping paint away, but I’m gonna have to refrain 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also we all know that if this was a fig made in 2025, those batons would've also been paired with another two batons that were “powered down” that would magnetically attach to her back and also have UV light reactive ink and all kinds of bells and whistles. 

Honestly it doesn't need any of that though! I am happy with it as is! I quite like this fig! It’s one that slipped by me on initial release, and I was lucky to snag one at the $80 retail price from Jaka’s website back in June. Shame it took so freakin long to get here though, but that’s a story for another day ;)
