Been a while!

First of all, before getting to anything else, I just want to say thank you so much to all of you for your continued support. It goes without saying but I need to say anyway that it makes a big difference, and the fact that as many people have stuck around even as my page has gone without an elaborate reward structure or really anything bonus is an honor I don't take for granted. 

I'm here to announce that, though I don't exactly have a full rework with new behind the scenes tiers and bonus videos and stuff exactly in the cards yet, I am officially as of this week going to be utilizing this Patreon more actively for a brand new show you may or may not have heard about: Midnight Snap!

For those who don't know, I'll explain what Midnight Snap is! It is a new series of extra long-form, and EXTRA soothing let's plays designed to act as a sleep aid for those who (like me) deal with insomnia, racing thoughts at night, and/or any other circumstances that leave them in need of a friendly voice during lonely hours. It was inspired by my personal love for projects such as the Sleep With Me podcast, but with my own twist and hopefully my own focused niche! I've actually as of this post already had a pilot episode released on the SnapCube 2 channel to resounding success, and I'm so excited to have as much as enthusiasm as I do rolling into a full series.

So you might be additionally wondering: how does Patreon come into play? Well, the show is primarily being produced as a YouTube series of course, given a large amount of the episodes will be in a let's play format. The flagship releases will be videos on SnapCube 2. HOWEVER, from the very start I wanted to create a more convenient and approachable way to listen to the show in an audio-only format as well. The problem being, I was never entirely certain or confident in the legality of doing so through wide-distribution channels. Like, could I potentially get into hot water for hosting hours of uncut gameplay and music from games made by companies like Nintendo on a platform like Spotify? My gut says: likely no, but it's enough of a gray area that the uncertainty leads me to want to play it safe as I take this show's concept and release strategies very seriously and consider it very sacred.

So here's the plan instead: There WILL be entirely audio-only versions of Midnight Snap episodes produced and released right here on Patreon. The audio posts themselves will be public, I want everyone to have at least ONE option to conveniently listen to this show in a format that is most comfortable to them. However, those of you already supporting here as well as any new Patrons will once again receive access to a private RSS feed which you can use to add Midnight Snap (as well as whatever audio stuff I may decide to use this place for in the future) to your podcast app of choice! Except Spotify. They do not allow manual RSS feed subscriptions. Go figure.

Thank you again, and I hope at least a few of you are excited for the new show! I've been putting a lot of love into it, so I hope it can help some of you in any way at all.
