The wide expanse of the field came to an abrupt end, yielding to the ominous embrace of a dark forest that seemed to stretch into infinity. The transition between the open air and the brooding woodland was marked by a modest dry stone wall, standing as the last line of defence against the forest's seemingly boundless expanse.
The wall, constructed with rough-hewn stones, spoke of civilised effort to tame the wild. It appeared frail, almost insignificant in the face of the forest's foreboding presence. As they passed through the narrow gateway, the atmosphere changed palpably. The vibrant daylight of the field was replaced by an eerie twilight beneath the forest canopy. Shafts of dappled sunlight pierced the thick foliage above, casting an uneven pattern of light and shadow upon their path.
The forest enveloped them with an unsettling stillness, punctuated only by the occasional rustling of leaves and the distant calls of unseen creatures. It was a realm of mystery and uncertainty, where every step carried them deeper into a world that seemed to exist beyond the boundaries of time and reason.

Yeh definitely a more simple layout on this map, one of the reasons I wanted to get a couple more variant maps made for it. Hopefully it’s a useful one for those quick road encounters or an interesting encounter defending a town from the horrors of the deep woods
