This space, the cultural centrepiece of the town, is used for many things, from festivals, to public executions, political speeches, and even this summer’s production of ‘The Great White Kraken’.

This play was set to be the talk of the town, with people flocking from the surrounding villages and regions just to catch of their favourite bard, but with such a diverse group of bystanders packed in so tightly together, and with emotions running high, this amphitheatre is set like a powder keg just waiting for a spark to set it off.
