Happy Be-Lated Valentine's Day

I know I planned to post these on Valentine's Day. I was fighting a lot of jet lag and exhaustion. I'd just arrived home on a 16 hour flight from India. It was a beautiful trip. I didn't do much. It was much more like a vacation, but I tried to take some photos. I wish I'd taken more to be honest, but I live and learn from the experience.

I tried to get back into an older style of portraits I do. I'm really glad I put it together. For Valentine's Day I think it was good to do a set that really inspired me.. I wanted a few elements in here, and I captured about all of them. It still would've been nicer with an additional light, but for now this works well. I like how well it came together. If this is something other people like I may try more character/themed ideas in the future as well as my typically art nude references. Thanks for letting me be so experimental.

Next I'll edit some photos I took in Qatar for my next set this month. It'll take me a few days. They're great. It's really just choosing what direction to edit. I feel like the editing can define me so much and my work, and I'm not sure how I want to be defined in that way. I think I need to take the time to work on that, but finding the time is still so hard. I have a psychiatrist appointment soon and I'm hoping that overcoming some mental hurtles will help me get over artistic hurtles.
