Bodyscapes

I think I've always liked bodyscapes, so I used this month as an excuse to try them out. I know it's near the end of the month. I always find a way to stay as busy as possible. I've always been like this. It's probably a time management problem, but I also always want to seize every opportunity as it comes. As I get older, the opportunities start being repeats, but there are still always moments to be enjoyed. Making art is important. Patreon really helped force me to remember to do that, though for a moment it felt like I wasn't in the right head space. I was creating for Patreon like it was homework, instead of creating. I felt like that wasn't creating the best work. Art is such a fine line between job and inspiring sometimes.

So what's inspiring about bodyscapes? To me it is a focus on the lines of the body. While going through, I also noticed the veins on the skin. When I took these I was cold and feeling a bit sick, and I wonder if that's why I see my veins more? I actually really like veins. They look like tree roots or rivers. They have such graceful curves that I think usually accentuate the curves on the body. There was some lens distortion becasue I used a more wide angle lens. I really like my wide angle lens. Sometimes I think the affect is nice and sometimes I think it is nice, but not very realistic. The body has these interesting structures with slight bends and creases that really change the whole dynamic. I think that I could take a lot more of these and have very different looks. Instead, for next month, I think I'll focus on more character pieces. I've focused a lot of body shapes and lighting already. I think I like being able to see how different I can look as one person. Having done artistic nude work for so long that's really inspired me. It'll push me outside my comfort zone to try to style and costume.
